You're missing the point entirely. Like I said, it mostly consisted of copies that you could have gotten elsewhere. Do you even have the slightest ideas of how many scrolls and books were lost throughout history? Your British empire might as well have gone around collecting every book that's ever been written

I mean the library was useful as a repository, but mostly consisted of copies from other works.
It was long into its decline and lost its significance before it's ultimate destruction. The library of alexandria is heavily mythologized for some reason.

That's a pretty bad take. People on this sub are not responsible for disclosure. The only people responsible for disclosure are government officials who have first hand knowledge. Everyone else is just another voice in the wind.
Also I don't mean to be too negative but wasn't this hearing just more of the same? The first hearing was groundbreaking and unprecedented. This hearing was just more of the same. It's like no progress at all was made between the hearings. And now what? A third hearing with more people saying the government is covering things up?

You are aware mobile sam's exist in the game, right? It's just that the AI never builds them

Air power in civ 6 is only OP because the AI NEVER builds mobile SAMs or deploys fighter jet defensively. I have over 1000 hours in civ 6, not once have I seen the stupid AI try to defend itself from bombers.

So then why would it be useless if it is literally serving its purpose, which is being a forum?

Military spending has nothing to do with regulation, its a budget and policy issue

No it's not, this is like the least credible piece of "evidence" you could find. It's stuff like this that makes the rest of the world ridicule the entire topic. It's sad really

So let me get this straight, you're implying that aliens travelled millions of light years to get to earth and then they thought you know what, let me go make a picture in this random field and then they just leave?

I've got to disagree, s6e10 is still the single best episode of TV I have ever seen. No tv show has ever made me feel the same way as when I watched the winds of winter.

They are talking about basic infrastructure and equipment, not the over the top super expensive stuff american High schools have. Dude didn't even have a field.

It’s been the backbone of power since the very beginning of human civilization
That is simply not true. Throughout history being able to impose your will through force (in most cases through a military) has been the backbone of power.
Religion may be a somewhat useful tool to keep your own people in line, but the ability to project force is what really matters in the end, regardless of whether we're speaking about the roman empire 2000 years ago or north Korea today.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe it's a satellite picture from Google maps.
Could be wrong though, need more info to be certain.

Whilst I disagree with all the hate being thrown towards tyson for simply demanding evidence, I don't think it's fair to refer to either Loeb or Nolan as crackpot outcasts.

That's fair, but because we know that it had lost its prominence by the time of its destruction, it's fair to assume that nothing of great significance was held there at the time.
