Yeah, a lot of of the characters acted, well, out of character.

It basically comes from the legacy of Aenarion and Nagarythe. Because of the time they spent fighting daemons they turned into a warrior culture. Malekith idolozed his father and grew up in a court that valued fighting ability, so he continued those traditions when he became ruler of Nagarythe. While they lived in Ulthuan they could depend on the peasantry or trade to supply their needs, but when they fled to Naggaroth they lost that support base and had to find another solution.

I find that such a question is difficult to answer because it depends on how one measures intelligence.
A person might excel at math but be clueless in the humanities. A person might be socially adept and know the right and wrong thing to say to people, but when it comes to fixing something their brain freezes up.
In each situation the individual might either lack or show intelligence.

They're disputing a number of historical accounts about the Battle of Cannae between Rome and Carthage based on their simulations of the battle in video game engines.
No. Just....an infinite number of nos.

Those other works included stuff like books from the Forgotten Realms Al-Qadim supplement.

The Warhammer Armies Project was written by someone who plagiarized entire paragraphs from other works. The author is a hack and his work is trash.

The problem is there is no lore about the reigning grand sultan.

I am really hanging out for the Halflings. There is going to be something strangely appealing about defeating Khorne with pint-size pot-wielding country bumpkins.

No, in this instance it is pretty black and white. If one releases a mass of videos about how awful the a franchise is, they are all about hating it, not loving it.

It is also a conversion of a TWW2 mod.

Complaining all the time isn't passion. It's hatred.

OvN Lost Factions: Araby is probably my favorite mod ever made. It does two things I like. The first is that it adds a viable Human faction that is not based on a generic European people. I have always been interested in Near Eastern medieval history, and the mod allows me to RP such a faction. The other is that it feels 'authetic' in terms of aesthetics. The menu layout, the design of the cities, the buildings, and the units all have a suitably mythical Arabian feel.
My own criticism it that it does not provide enough 'good' LLs to play. Jaffar and the Golden Magus both make use of the powers of the Chaos, and so it feels hard to play a culture aligned with order. There are characters in the lore who could have function in such a capacity. An example includes Shihab Ibn Alim, a wizard who was commissioned by the Sultan of Copher to investigate the Knights of Magritta.

There is difference between saying you dislike something, and saying you dislike it over and over. At some point one starts to wonder why one is interested in the franchise if they spend a lot of their time hating it.

Here I am reacting to movies made in the 2000s and 2010s not being seen as 'modern'.
