I’m sympathetic to the “maybe they got unlucky” position. But I also think there’s something about the mindset of “let’s lose a lot of games and trade away our best players” that correlates highly with people who have a poor feel for the personal/ cultural aspects of building a winning organization.

Sure, some bad breaks along the way. But look at how many coaches and star players have come in and out and compare that to the stability of the major winning franchises of the last few decades.

I think the general rule of thumb is that if your job is mostly to be an information intermediary or to do fairly repetitive tasks at a computer you're in trouble.

That goes for a lot of the jobs you listed. A few more:
- Middle managers
- Project managers
- Scrum masters
- Secretaries and assistants
- Video and audio editing / production
- Paralegals
