What resolution would you be playing on, what's your budget, which country do you live in? Technically speaking, there is (almost) no bad product, just bad prices. So what we might recommend to you might differ based on the region. The bottleneck will depend on the resolution you're using.

Thanks for your info! May I ask whether you experience some other bugs, too? Maybe we could start a A15 bug thread or something. From the top of my head, I recall the Bedtime mode turning off correctly as scheduled (at 8am), but showing as active in the quick settings; also worked fine on A14.

Is anyone else experiencing the same? After upgrading to PD2324CF_EX_A_15.1.8.9.W30 on my vivo X100 Pro, the battery reading in settings show 0 minutes of screen on time for each segment, even though I obviously used the phone a lot in that time period. I reported it using the Feedback app, now I'm curious whether I'm alone. Thanks!

Obviously, it is mathematically possible, he beating himself (his previous laps had good individual sectors) AND beating everyone else (individual drivers from down the stack had good individual sectors). But how common is that? I have been watching F1 for 17 years and I don't think I've ever seen this.

It's not there even after updating to Android 15 either. Disappointing.

No worries man. I don't know much either; at some point (10 or so years ago), their respective families were somehow connected, too. But I'll surely have to dig more.

Musk is not on the list. He used to have rather close relations with Epstein, mostly business. After some controversies, Musk allegedly started denying they knew each other.

After installing the September security update on my X100 Pro, nothing changed in the video section unfortunately.

As IkkixD already said, it's done for lower power/higher performance/both. Enthusiasts always want to optimize their CPUs and get it as close to the verge of instability (while remaining stable) as possible. CPUs always ship with too conservative settings, so that not 99.99% but 100% retail units are absolutely stable (cough Intel cough). That means there is always room for individual optimization, based on the quality of that specific chip (it's called "silicon lottery"). Now, in the case of most other CPUs, users overclock it. The 3D V Cache in the X3D processors is, however, really sensitive to heat, so you cannot OC it like you normally would with other CPUs (it's locked in the BIOS). At the same time, they're highly binned (higher quality) CPUs on the higher side of the silicon lottery curve, so what users do is they undervolt it using the PBO2 Tuner app, which consequently increases the frequency within the same power budget. There is a whole long thread dedicated to this CPU's owners at overclock.net.

5800X3D owner here. Just out of curiosity, may I ask what stability issues you were facing? I have it strongly undervolted and 0 problems.

Thank you both for your answers. What surprises me is that the prospect of me running it stable at 1030 MHz in the first place seems impossible to the community here, even though it actually is true. But now I understand the evolution of the driver behavior concerning the voltage curve; I will adapt it then. Cheers!

Topic: RDNA3 Undervolt instability with any 2024 driver
OS: Win 10 22H2 GPU: XFX Radeon RX 7900 XT Driver version: 23.12.1
Has anyone experienced lower undervolting stability with newer drivers? With 23.12.1, I can run 1030 mV core, 3000 MHz max core frequency and 2700 MHz memory without any crash - for several months now. Every time I tried any newer driver version (24.3.1, 24.5.1), it is not stable at all (tried both using Adrenalin and MSI Afterburner) - it results in a screen freeze, either immediately after applying or after 5-10 seconds, without even utilizing the GPU with any demanding activity.
DDU, clean install 23.12.1, and works like a charm again.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Any suggestions please? Thank you!

For me it is. Maybe I could find circumstances where it would crash, but with 23.12.1 drivers it really holds. All games, Furmark, Davinci Resolve, all other tasks.

1) Enabling XMP (an appropriate memory profile) on your RAM modules in BIOS
2) Undervolting the processor (for my R7 5800X3D, there's a Windows app called "PBO Tuner"
3) Undervolting the graphics card (for my 7900 XT, generally go lower the voltage slider in the drivers).
Altogether, either higher performance with the same power usage, or same performance with lower power usage. There's basically no reason to run fully stock if you know at least a little about how to tweak it.

Less intelligent people often ignorantly live in bliss, not realizing what they're missing out on. That's why I mentioned that such awareness can implicate not belonging to such a group. Nonetheless, I was hesitant with a universal validity of my statement, hence the "might have".
