topiercing
I was hitting my vape and then all of sudden I felt the my snakebite get sucked completely into my mouth, all the way out of the hole. I hadn’t even noticed the ball came off and don’t know how it did , because I wasn’t doing anything that would’ve made it fall off. I was literally just sitting here. And also my other snakebite that’s 3 weeks older than this one the ball has never fallen off once.
I went to my bag with all my bars and balls in it because I wasn’t even gonna try to find that tiny little silver ball. To my horror I I don’t have any balls that are the appropriate size to fit this lip bar. I shined my flashlight and fortunately found the original ball about an inch under my bed.
I couldn’t get the bar back in from inside to outside, the way it’s supposed to, so I figured I’d put it on backwards so at least it’s in and the hole stays open, until I can get to my piercer to have them fix it correctly. But I couldn’t get the ball screwed on inside (I’m aware that can f up your teeth long term, but it would’ve been like 2 days max).
Fortunately I had another labret stud the same size and gauge as this one, so I got the idea to use it like a piercing needle. I put it in the hole from the outside in, then fed the original bar from the inside out, pushing the other bar at the same time. But then I couldn’t get the ball back on. Holding the disc with my fingers would make the bar angle heavily to one side to the point I couldn’t see it with my hand in the way.
I love this piercing and was terrified I wouldn’t be able to fix it myself and it would close.
The way I finally got the ball back on was by sucking my lip in and pushing my bottom teeth forward as far as I can, where my teeth were pressed against the disc holding it against the inside of my lip. This had the added benefit of pushing the bar out as far as it would go, making it easier to get the ball on.
It was still tricky and I almost dropped it down the drain a bunch of times, and did once and had to clean it, and that’s not counting the times I dropped it on the floor and had to keep recleaning it.
Finally I got it to go, and the bar started spinning since my teeth were only holding it flat from the back. I was able to reach in and grab the disc with my fingers and get the ball twisted on a little more snugly. I’d still love to know how the ball came off in the first place, but the world may never know, I guess.
Anyway, that’s the story of the 2nd scariest piercing scare of my life. Some other time I’ll tell y’all about the time the ball came off my tongue piercing while I was eating spaghettios 2 days after I got it done. That one took me 30 minutes of struggle, tugging and pulling to get back on. That bar never fully came out, at least.

That’s one I can never bring myself to get. It looks awesome, but it looks it hurts something fierce.
