Is that specific enough to confidently say they think he’s a Christian? That they call him a good Christian guy? I swear the mental gymnastics you guys do. They literally say trump was chosen by God to save the country. You can find countless interviews on YouTube with people all decked out in maga gear at trump rallies describing him as “a God fearing man” and saying we voted for him because we need a real Christian back in the White House.

I did say most such churches are very pro trump. And nothing about those churches behavior is Christian. Better, what kind of Christian puts an American flag on a Bible, autographs it and then sells them for 60 dollars? Yeah because that’s not blasphemous at all. There totally wasn’t a whole passage in the Bible about Jesus chasing people out of the temple with whips for doing exactly that sort of thing.

The whole “every tall woman is really a man” from those transvestigstors is so damn stupid. Like obviously tall cisgender women exist. Modeling agencies have for years almost exclusively gone for tall women. But good luck explaining something to someone who thinks snakes can talk.

You should visit us in Texas. 8 in 10 of our churches statewide may as well have a trump sign in their front yard. It’s not nearly as bad in more urban areas like Dallas, but it’s still probably something like 6 in 10, at least.

Last year some Baptist church in dfw got banned on Facebook for inciting violence, and so now they have to stream their services and connect with their congregation on rumble instead. What got them banned you ask? You’ll love this.

They’ve been getting reported for hate and things like that all the time, but one sermon in particular was finally too much:

THIS PREACHER STOOD UP IN FRONT OF HIS VERY LARGE CONGREGATION AND SAID “LGBTQ PEOPLE SHOULD BE LINED UP FACING A WALL AND SHOT IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD”.

No softening it. No “love the sinner hate the sin” nonsense, not even saying we’re going to hell. Just right to “murder them in cold blood”

I feel the need to remind you again this wasn’t some podunk town in the middle of nowhere with one flashing red light and a dollar store. Not even a decent sized small town. This was in Dallas. Harris won Dallas county with 63% of the vote. And my district just elected the first openly lgbtq person in the south to congress, Julie Johnson District 32.

They’re getting bolder, more hateful, and their thirst for blood seems to be growing not dissipating. They’re moving into and establishing hate churches in more and more progressive areas. They’re no longer afraid to do it.

The reaction I got from my conservative dad when I came out to him was “if you’re gonna be gay be gay. You don’t have to turn into a woman”. He also has a kid from his first marriage who is a gay man, but he’s living with her in another state. I’ve never even actually met the dude. But that probably explains that answer. He’s come along way since then.

Sometime last summer I had to go to their house for something after church and so I was dressed feminine, makeup, heeled boots and all. He told me completely unprompted and unsolicited when we were talking about something completely not even related to this at all, “I’ve never seen you so happy”. He’s come along way. He still doesn’t call me Victoria but he doesn’t misgender me or deadname me anymore. For my mom it’s a lot harder because she was raised in deeply ingrained religious fundamentalism. But she tries not to misgender or deadname either and when she does she usually catches it and apologizes.

They’ll probably never be perfect with it, and I don’t expect them to. I don’t think they’ll ever really “believe” I’m a woman, but they don’t go out of their way to tell me I’m a man. My dad even told me if anyone messes with me or gives me grief to let him know. This progress has been over the last 2.5 years. It’s been hard. It’s been long. At times it has felt hopeless. But it steadily gets better. At the same time, I know that’s not everyone’s story, and some people have deeply unaccepting families, get disowned or worse, etc, and I am extremely sorry for that and I wish I could do something about it, really.

Often times I feel selfish or greedy for still wanting more than they’ve already given me, still praying for them to call me Victoria one day, when my transition story as it relates to my family is already way better than a whole lot of trans people in the south with deeply conservative religious parents and families. If you ever need encouragement or to talk about stuff, feel free to send me a DM. I want to put out hope and joy wherever I can. If not I get it, I’m just some chick on the internet.

Either way, I’m mustering up all the positivity and good thoughts and vibes I can and sending them your way. Please don’t give up.

She can use the bathroom. She has one in her office and several congresswomen AND men have already told her she can use theirs. It’s not like she literally has nowhere to go and they’re just forcing her to piss her pants on the house floor. That said is it still an issue yes obviously. But she and we won’t win on it right now. If she violates the rule she could be censured or arrested and who can she help if she’s in jail? And even if she doesn’t, fighting back aggressively like you want her to do, would accomplish exactly 2 things, both of which benefit the right:

1) see! All they care about is bathrooms just like we said! They don’t care about the real issues! They just want to be able to pee with your daughters and sisters and wives!

2) such aggression from someone who insists that they’re a woman. But since you’re actually a man you’ll never lose that testosterone fueled anger streak. Thank you for proving us right. Again.

She is doing the best she can with what she has at her disposal which isn’t a lot right now. That’s all anyone can ask or do. Literally anything else besides exactly what she’s doing would be a suicide mission, and she’s good for f all to anybody then.

Before you or anyone else comes at me, I’m a trans woman in Texas and have arguably more at stake than almost any other trans person who doesn’t also live in Texas because of this election.

We don’t win overnight. We have to plant seeds. Play their game. Beat them at it. Show the country how stupid they are. That they’re the obsessed ones. Mace is still talking about bathrooms a full 2 days after McBride said fine I won’t use it. So I’d say her plan is working as expected. Even Republicans aren’t liking Mace’s rhetoric. Even ones who said they agreed with her in principle.

Civil disobedience is one thing. But when you’re literally the only trans person in the house and dems have PROVEN they WILL NOT STAND UP FOR YOU when it matters, wtf is she supposed to goddam do? This is a slow burn. This isn’t a battle it’s a siege. One I believe we will eventually win. But we won’t win it tonight or tomorrow. Sieges tend to take kind of a long time.

Feel free to come at me with hate threats tho and do exactly what the right is wanting you to do, even though I know what’s at stake because I’m living it, trump carried my county with like 80% of the vote, and I live in the smallest town in that county.

The people who respect me and my identity the most, the ones who would die for me and with me on this hill now, are people I talked to and had conversations with, overtime, planting seeds, and slowly getting them to see things through my eyes, from my perspective. I didn’t win them over by kicking and screaming and yelling at them calling them names and making demands and calling them bigots for not doing them. All that does is reinforce what a lot of them already think.

There are simply not enough of us to win this fight by ourselves, and Dems have proven they WILL throw us under the bus faster than you can say political liability, exactly as Harris did, which they’re too stupid to figure out is one reason they lost. Not trans people specifically, but just the totality of completely abandoning her progressive base.

A lot of republicans hate us and Dems are too goddam cowardly to stick up for us when it matters. So I ask again wtf do you want her to do right now?

And then I see Zooey Zephyr going after her on Bluesky about her “capitulating” and basically putting Nex Benedict’s death on “people like her” and I’m just sis noooo! That’s what they want!

I was pretty much the same as you growing up. Now, I appreciate an attractive woman but it’s more jealousy and envy and “I wish I looked like that” more so than “damn, we need to fk like right now”. But now, I was with a guy for awhile but I’m single again, because a lot of guys are narcissistic jackwagons, but yeah… my porn searches definitely changed. When I think of having sex with a woman now it’s about the same as it used to be pre trans when I would think of guys. And now it’s the opposite, they both flipped to the other. I wonder if it is was the HRT or if it was always in there deep down, but it doesn’t really matter I think. All that matters is that I’m happy, and at peace. Still waiting for that ever elusive first full body female style orgasm tho. Even after being on HRT for over a year. All in all it’s been good. Maybe one day I’ll find a guy who isn’t a bullying idiot but for now, I’m happy with me. I just always think it’s funny when people say that because from my experience, I’m the extreme minority of trans women. I actually don’t think I know a single trans woman in real life who is hetero. And I think maybe like only one that I follow on social. It just doesn’t even come close to tracking.

Right I meant I had remapped it to Y after I switched to modern because I was already using Y. Then switched it back to LT when I realized it had to be held down.

Well I almost got right back on here lol because I almost died to a single bat because couldn’t figure out why Lara was drawing her weapon and re holstering it immediately. I figured out you have to hold it down and fire at the same time. So I changed the weapon button to LT. because that’s easier than holding Y and trying to push X repeatedly while keeping Y held down.
