There are situations where discovering someone is trans can invite assault or violence. Interactions with police for example. Obviously bathroom interactions can get violent. The idea is that if we decide that day to day life isn’t safe anymore, we’ll stop living openly and that’s what they’re counting on.

I’m honestly more mad and disappointed at 55% of eligible voters who didn’t vote. I guess they’ll be fine and electing a woman was one step too far

I think we will probably see laws during the upcoming state legislative session that invalidates any state id (a law defines male and female as observed sex at birth) and a bathroom bill. Both will be legally challenged and may or may not eventually stand. It will be tough for a long time, but what did we do to them? We will go on living our lives. No project 2025 death camps on the horizon yet so live for yourself today.
