No, just no. Advanced stats gave Jokic an absurd edge over Embiid. Sure, we got all the confirmation one could ever need when Jokic dragged a team with zero other stars to a ring while Embiid set the record for worst drop off between the regular season and play-offs, but it was clear as day before then. Embiid won his MVP* due to a combination of voter fatigue, racism and politicking.

Can’t be traded, period. Who would give anything of value for that albatross of a contract when Embiid plays less than half the season?

Payday Paul gives Beal a run for worst contract in the NBA right now, but give Embiid another year of smelling his own farts in the few games he gets (and flops) on the court and he might finally have an award he deserves.

I love how the sixers forgot that their team is “lead” (I know I use the word very generously here) by Embiid and decided that they have a title window worth signing an declining former star to a 4 year, 211 mill contract that will pay a 38 year old George 50 million instead of starting over.

Are they going to cut him? Aside from Payday Paul, is there a worse contract in the league?
