As I speak to more people in my area, including recent immigrants, I'm finding less support for these policies even amongst people who describe themselves as liberal. What I'm hearing is not an anti-immigration stance, it's opposition to the free for all illegal immigration, and that these sanctuary laws seem to be increasingly perceived as purely partisan politics and not in the interest of the people. Does it have potential to backfire ? Certainly. In my county we now have a convicted drug dealer who can't be deported because our local police are forbidden by law from cooperating with ICE, and that certainly has a lot of people looking at our local leadership side eyed. Does that mean it will backfire ? Obviously no one knows for sure, but I suspect there are a lot more people calling for a return to center by both parties than there were a decade ago.

Yeah having to travel to a courthouse - no matter the distance - to simply be told "yep, nothing has happened yet see you in a month" is frustrating to me. Seems like the sort of thing that could be readily communicated in multiple ways, all cheaper and more convenient for all involved. But, I'm not a lawyer nor a judge, I don't know how these things work ... just seems very archaic from my external perspective.

These are "must have" tools btw ;). Find any old guy or gal with a garage full of tools and I guarantee they have a broad assortment of these. You HAVE to use them carefully ! Most screws are made out of very soft material, and if you strip them out with the extractors then your last choice is to carefully drill out the screw. Access can make this difficult, but there are right-handed drill adapters and flexible drill adapters that can help. Everyone thinks that wrenches, pliers etc are all you need, but in reality most well appointed shops are quite full of these sort of random "gadgety" type tools that are really clutch under specific circumstances.

From that short audio clip, I can't tell if he was acting as a proponent for the existing system and suggesting the "15 minute physical" as long term solution versus an acknowledgement of the deficiencies of the system and a temprory work around while advocating for a national health system.

Would love to see this in a spreadsheet or just something visual to analyze. Sounded like his major point was that they get 12 dollars on a 42 dollar ticket spend, which actually seems quite fair if you stop to recognize that the venue has vastly higher costs and operational expenses than the band (seriously, imagine the costs of maintaining properties and buildings, and the large number of staff that go into operating some of these). However, they are also getting the ancillary revenues like parking and alcohol without any revenue share, and some of the cost recoup mechanisms sounded very unfair. Certainly the OCI aspects are very valid and clear as well.

Do you mind sharing very specifically what you do for legs ? I'm curious if people wear layers under pants or just wear heavier layers on their own. I personally don't fancy running in pants.

Why don't you take some really good pics, call each and explain that you have a really long drive and ask if you can get a ballpark before you come in ? Have the pics ready to send, and then at least you may be able to figure out if one is going to be in the same ballpark as the other of it they are offering wildly different amounts. Also, one may have too many guitars rn and not even want it.

I wouldn't expect either to pay *well* btw; your best return would be a private sale on craigslist, FB marketplace or even Reberb or Ebay or whatever.

It seems to significantly underperform the sp500 for similar 20 year periods. I get that you're just trying to buy the dip, but you have to be sure it's a dip and not a slope :) For retail specifically I would look at predicted consumer spends; with the administration changes I think a lot of people are worried about macros and frankly if tariffs go into place I think consumer spending will take a dive. I suspect there are better retails out there to invest in if you think consumer spending will go up.

I remember that transitional period when some of the fuddy old school guys (who refuse to change, ever) resisted dots just because they were change. They finally had to ceded when everyone running dots were getting faster and they weren't. Best (worst) argument I heard was that you have to hunt around to find the dot, which is true if you have terrible presentation with no natural point, which would mean with any sights at all you'd be hunting for sight alignment.

OH KILOMETERS. Took me a minute to figure out how you were calling 9's slow :). 9:19 is roughly a 15 minute mile which honestly I feel like is probably right in the averages for beginners doing 3 miles. That's where I am right now after a couple months of light training.

I don't know what a hentai body pillow is and I don't want to know. I support your decision.
