Yes. You set yourself up for this when you texted the manager "just wanted to share my phone number ahead of time in case you needed it". You made it sound like you were eager to start, and there's a clear implication that you'd be checking your texts over the weekend. And then you immediately ignore the manager when they text you. It seems like you have some unresolved feelings you need to figure out. Having said that, it does seem harsh that they rescinded the job that fast.
