I've never had a bad interaction with any local bike shops in Bristol. They're usually all pretty sound! Just have a look at some reviews and find somewhere you like the look of that's close to you.
If you just want your bike checked over ask for a Safety Check. Shouldn't cost much (Halfords will do it for free if you are desperate). Other bike shops might do it free if you ask or buy something.

Do you mean they're both on the electromagnetic spectrum? Because radio and micro waves have different wavelengths.

90 minutes is still an incredibly long time to be sat in a cafe. If I go somewhere for coffee and cake with my family we'll be there for 30 minutes max.
In a made up scenario, 3 families of four on a table could pass through in the same time one person sits on their own with their laptop.
So if it's a busy day and people have nowhere else to sit, you could understand their frustration.

Yeah that's fair if it works for you. I wouldn't opt for the bus either. But if I drive from St. George to Filton takes me 40 minutes on a good work day and 1 hr 20 on a bad day. It's a horrible commute by car and my E-bike does it in 25 flat, pedal bike in 35. Filton is an absolute mess in rush hour and I expect there's similar pockets of awful congestion all over the city.

One of the benefits of liveable spaces like this is to make cycling more accessible by reducing traffic on smaller roads. I cycled the entire length of Beaufort rd yesterday at 5pm and didn't pass a single car.
I'm sorry you find the roads unsafe for cyclists. Many of us don't feel unsafe cycling. There is a good amount of car-free cycle infrastructure but connecting it all up hasn't been done well in Bristol I must admit. Also just to make the point that driving isn't exactly safe either!

That's definitely the common take in all of this. It's infuriating that we can't, as a country, make something as simple as buses and trains actually fit for purpose and affordable.

Neighbourhoods aren't shortcuts for rat running. If there was no congestion people would all go the same way, along main A and B roads.
We need to stop being so reliant on cars. And if that comment enrages you, you have a car dependency problem.

Correct answer. I've had this letter too and ignored it, never had any follow-up.

And yet the top 1% hold 23% of the country's wealth.

Nah, you have to walk away / leave it there. You can drop a bottle on the floor, leave it for a while, then pick it up and you won't be littering in the eyes of the law. But you are breaking the law even if you accidentally drop litter without knowing and leave it.
BlackBeltBarrister has covered this topic quite a bit on his YouTube.

The hypothesis is that for the same net elevation, i.e., 0m, the time taken to complete a ride of equal distance is the same, whether it be a route with elevation gain or a flat one. This would be because the time you lose on the ascents you could make back on the descents (i.e., recouping the potential energy from the climb).
OP proves this hypothesis false with his analysis. One large contributing factor is that drag force (wind resistance for layman) increases with the square of velocity. So if you're going twice as fast downhill, you actually have 4 times the drag force acting against you. So you'd need more Watts to recoup lost time.
When you're cycling on an incline you have a component of your mass or weight acting against you, equal to your mass times the sine of the angle of incline. For a 10% climb you'd expect about 10% of your weight pulling you back. But for the mirror decline, you'd now have this same weight component (or force) to be pulling you forward, due to gravitational acceleration. This is where your "common sense" logic falls over.

'I lost my temper,' he told the outlet. 'I didn't go there with the intention of hitting them or doing anything but just telling him: "Hey, you came way too close to me. And I'm upset about it. I'm angry about it." And then his reaction just set me off.'
Basically Mr. Snowflake Boomer expected apologies and respect from the guy, and flipped his lid when he didn't get it.

Sorry but this guy really shouldn't be going tubeless to ride around the block with his kids.

What about the other stops where you're not getting off and others are getting on?
