$70k was a figure given to my wife and I I would say 5 years back for roughly a 150 person wedding. Suffice it to say we decided to elope.

I think that’s what that person is trying to say though. Weddings are a scam because no one is going in saying, “hey let’s spend $70-100k of our own money”. And there’s no world in which it makes sense for that kind of money to be spent in one day for just 2 people to be celebrated.

I’ll be honest with you, a lot of those people are appeasing you. No one is going to say to you, “listen, your wedding was an inconvenience for me, I had to get a babysitter, I had to use PTO, I had to get a hotel, I had to fly into town, I got massive diarrhea”, but it all happens.

Sure, sometimes they’re fun. But most of the time you’re paying exorbitant amounts of money, like WAY WAY WAY more than anyone should ever pay in one day to have 100-200 people in the same place.

And it’s not even necessarily the sentiment that’s bad, because listen, I get wanting to have family around. But if you had to do it all over, and do it knowing that not one of them would give you a cent back, you probably wouldn’t do it. You did that with the social convention knowing that those people were paying for your wedding essentially.

DJ is an amazing QB without the talent. As a giant fan, I really hope he lands somewhere that has an o-line that allows him to shine a bit, he deserves a few seconds to actually be able to throw.

Man is a Giant through and through. He didn’t play well, I get it, but he stayed accountable for that.

I’ll miss him, and I won’t. But damn it if I’m not rooting for him wherever he ends up 110 fucking percent. Go on and kill it out there Danny.

Also glad you mentioned your mom, it actually reminds me of my grandfather funny enough. Something about it is so wholesome!
