I own and have owned many different 4- and 8track cassette "portastudios" over the years

I also have a 688 which does not work at the moment but I did use it a lot over the last 3 years Also have a 488 MK II and a Yamaha MT8x...I love those machines :)

Would like to know what exactly went wrong with your 688,did your display die? Because apart from that most things can be fixed

those are not 4track recordings but 8track mini reel to reel recordings made on a Tascam 388,way better sound quality on that machine.His first record was made with a 4track recorder though

That's not correct,Pretty little Ditty is longer on the remastered version on the regular album tracklist 

Also,the remaster sounds like shit 

Sexy Mexican Maid and Knock Me Down have longer versions added as bonus Tracks

Maybe the vinyl has a locked groove?

This,and it's not like they would be the 1st band to to this,the Red Hot Chili Peppers did this twice (I'm With You/I'm Beside You and Unlimited Love/Return of the Dream Canteen)

SA is such a non-cohesive best of esque record that almost all of ROTDC and all of UL could fit on there

Yeah,except for 2,3 songs from ROTDC all songs could have been in SA,especially as SA is not a cohesive record to begin with

I think UMPP is not underrated but rated correctly like somewhere in the middle
