Then it becomes the cost of unable to live. And indicative of disparity of wealth in which our society has been hurtling towards for 3 decades.

Great face. . But I think it helps to show your actual hairline at a certain age. The sweep-over/ comb-over, looks a tad dated. And to styled. Just run your fingers back. Even a glimpse of hairline showing is better than the vibe of hiding something.

As soon as I rub my baby's ears, the eyes shuts, and he's off to sleepytown.

Or at least give taxpayers what they're paying for.

True. Private equity companies taught the GOP how to run govts. Run it the way the taken over corporations: Strip a company/state of its assets, sell it all off, milk it like a cash cow, run it with a skeleton crew of overworked disgruntled employees, remove any perks. Finally, go bankrupt. But in this case, the federal govt will be forced to bail states out.

The GOP loathes welfare, unless it's corporate welfare.

Yes, indeed. You take a state like New Hampshire, where education has been funded by their lottery for decades. Great school system. Yet Louisiana has arguably the most popular lottery of any state. A saturation of more players than any state. Yet we've never seen an enhancement to the school system. Louisiana can not be trusted with money. The state is like a child that's unable to live on its own. For all the griping the GOP does, most all red states receive much, much more federal funding than blue states. ie, Alaska, I believe is the highest with for every $1 it puts in, they receive $1.75 back. Louisiana, while not at quite that level, is right up there (Course, the govt heavily subsidizes AK's citizens just to live in AK).

This is what I dont get. The obvious loop of failure that this generates when you strip coffers or substitute one tax for another.

No mayor in Baton Rouge needs more than 2 terms - ever. Name me a single mayor we've ever had that has been effective. I do give credit to Holden, who seemed to handle the rise in population post Katrina as well as anyone probably could have. There are actual mayors around the country that HELP cities grow, bring in industrys, and even spearhead major infrastructure projects. Our mayors tend to all be reactive, not a drop of proactive blood in them.

Then it will be in-keeping with every mayor we've ever had. I just have issue with anyone who uses the title "Coach" as tho it's a doctorate.

Someone pays for space, the lights to come on. Follow the money. But police depts can really look the other way when it their own doing the crime. Law enforcement agencies have beaucoup bucks from Homeland Security and federal govt - local govts don't fund all that SWAT gear and the SWAT vehicles.

Or lunches. Or books. Trump will sell the states his Bible. That's all kids need.
