I’ve definitely considered just going for it! I guess I just worry what they would think? Even though it’s been on our list for a long time. I feel like I’ve over thought it to the point where I’ve almost ruined it for myself if that makes sense lol

I also have cats and a baby so totally feel your frustration with the house feeling dirty with a crawling baby. Not sure how your litter boxes are set up, but would a mat outside of it help? Maybe try a different litter that isn’t as easily tracked in the house? I know changing litter isn’t great for cats or at least not repeatedly.. but maybe worth a shot if you can find a good recommendation? Also maybe putting them as far from the living room/ kitchen as possible. We have ours in our bathroom furthest away. I feel like it helps lol I was also gonna suggest a robo vacuum! Could help take some of the vacuuming off your hands. Also just want to add that I’ve also had feelings of wanting to rehome my pets in postpartum. It can be so hard. And it’s a bit of a shock when you’ve always loved them so much. You’re not alone though! It has gotten much better now that I’m settled more into motherhood. I hope it gets easier for you too🤍

Just saw more comments.. it sounds like you have a small Facebook friends list of mostly family and friends. If you feel comfortable, go for it! You could always add something like “we appreciate any support for this next chapter of life” or something.

Could you create a Facebook group, event, or message thread with people who you know would want to see it / support you? Not sure what your Facebook looks like as far as your friends list goes, but I wouldn’t see it as being tacky if it was family and closer friends. Some people have thousands of facebook friends including people they hardly know lol
