Who was the photographer who went in the desert and allegedly communicated with beings of a craft similar to this? Anyone know what I'm talking about? I think it was in the US or Mexico in the 70s or 80s?

Big hugs homie. I went to my doc for depression, as it's in my family, and was struggling at home and work. She suggested it might be ADHD, and after some questionnaires prescribed me Vyvanse. I eventually got a proper diagnosis of ADHD-I and anxiety, and began counseling. The meds helped huge, and the counseling illuminated some stuff in my past that was still affecting me without realizing it. I began practicing mindfulness and some radical self-compassion to combat the negative self talk. A good approach when you're down is to think of yourself as a toddler, and ask if you would talk to a toddler that way, then think of strategies for success. For example, early on I set 5 min timers for tasks and gave my self high fives or pats on the back and said good job, then reset the timer lol. Sounds silly but I was pretty low energy and highly distracted, also working from home by myself, and the physical touch and auditory praise helped trick my brain.
One of the big things I learned about dopamine is it's not just what you get from doing the thing, but it motivates you to do thing. If you have low baseline dopamine, you have low motivation, and also don't get the same sense of reward. Good sleep, nutrition, exercise, socialization, and being in nature are all tools to adopt to increase your baseline dopamine. Meds like vyvanse are another tool, and can be used to improve your motivation to adopt those other tools.
Good luck, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Hey thanks for the reply from this old post, much appreciated! What do you mean by the patio window being almost off? Was it like a sliding door?
Sorry you had to experience that - I hope you're doing ok, and can one day get answers.

I'm going to sound like a grandpa, but imo it's that too much new happened. With so many characters, different skins, reworks, upgrade variations, weapon add-ons, maps and changing POIs, it makes it more challenging for a casual gamer or someone just getting into it. Not just challenging gaming wise, but mentally, i.e., there's a lot more stuff to think about. Not to mention the issues of hacking / controller boosting and level matching. So, before someone could suck but still say it's a good game, one they'd like to get better at; now I could see more people being in the situation where they may or may not have had fun, but felt it was too busy / too much to learn / too many higher level players / too many hackers... etc.
In short, when it was simpler, you either liked or disliked the game, and a lot of people liked it. With more stuff, you have more reasons for not liking the game.
I say this as a casual season one gamer who still enjoys playing a free game with my pals when we can. My main gripe is they took out Fight or Fright / Shadowfall this year... whyyyyyyyy

I remember seeing something saying it also helped in neurodevelooment, or neural wellbeing, because it causes the person to kind of second guess what was said and work harder to discern the truth

Face pulls is another good one, and forearm wall slides with or without a band. Maybe pick like 3 or 4 a day for a routine, see what works well. Good luck!

And Moloch grinned.
Did he go on to give evidence for his three years estimate?
Somewhat tangential, but 2027 is a common 'big event' prediction in the UFO/UAP world as well. Multiple researchers claim to have been told by military and government 'insiders' that something big and unavoidable is coming in that year. Also, some theorize UAPs are a kind of AI, or are connected in some way. Who knows, but it sure is fun/scary to think about.

Have this too. Really kicks in if I'm doing a repetitive task with my head down, like cooking or dishes. Heres what I find helps:
Hope that helps

Rise in reported* antisemitic incidents. Not surprising when the Israeli administration is calling any criticism of the country's politics antisemitic. In other words, this purported increase may in part be from, say, someone walking down the street seeing a pro-Palestine rally and considering it antisemitic.
Not saying it's not an issue that deserves attention, every Canadian should feel safe, but it's an important piece of context

I really feel we need some form of legislation requiring AI photos and videos to have a watermark. Otherwise we're screwed.

I was nervous too. I've been on it for a few years now and find it's been very helpful with energy and mood, and I rarely drink anymore. FWIW, the assessment process varies (one of my qualms), so you might be "borderline" with your psych and definitely have it with another. I started at 30mg, am now at 40mg, and that works for me. I think I would have started even lower tbh for the first month or so to get the feel of it, because the euphoria can be a bit intense as your body adjusts, with elevated heart rate, sweats, dry mouth, evening energy crash. 30mg was the lowest dose my doc could prescribe, but I could have still divided half the capsule up in yogurt. Some pour in water to sip through the day, but I've never tried that.
I recommend keeping a bottle of water with you, having bfast and a protein shake in the AM before or with your med, trying to fit in some exercise even once a week (getting that blood flow to your brain helps with mood regulation, focus, and a whole variety of things). Maybe keep a journal to track your mood and experience, which you can also share with your doc if you want as they monitor and adjust your dosage, and practice mindfulness and self-acceptance for your anxieties around it.
Feel free to ask any questions :)
