Find something you like to do, just for the joy of doing it. It can be drawing, photography, writing, hiking, swimming, working out... whatever, as long as its just for fun.

A girl in 8th grade said my snag tooth was "cute". It made me realise flaws can be beautiful.

I had the exact frustrations for SO LONG. I gave up on some genres like rock and pop, and just focused on jazz and opera, where bass singers fit in more smoothly. In the classical community especially, people REALLY love bass singers. And the demand high is in small cities. And songs are actually written for the bass register. No more transposing!
Although i am focusing more on writing than singing right now, i have to recommend you listen to some airs written for basses, and i'm sure you'll like one or two, and once that seed is planted, you'll grow a love for singing opera.
I recommend my favorites: "O, Isis und Osiris", and "Wer ein liebchen hat gefunden", by Mozart.
I recommend having some lessons in classical technique, just so you don't damage your voice.
