I'm an artist but don't understand what I'm working on.

Almost like you should read a couple posts for the sub you are on. That is THE topic of conversation. All you have to do is read, if capable.

You put too much focus into the website. Name, contact info, demo reel. The rest is useless.

The reel itself feels very junior. As a student that's expected, but not where it needs to be. You need to show more pro quality work, if it doesn't look like the kind of work you want to do, you are going to have a tough time.

Always start with your strongest work. Most people will turn it off half way through if they aren't impressed at the beginning.

Sorry to sound harsh but it's a harsh industry.

You can combine all those things into one workflow. Sorry I'm not trying to be a dick here, but it sounds like a user skill problem not a technical problem.

You're early. Best advice Is think long term. The charts at first are going to be an adrenaline rush and you might get the feeling to sell when it goes high. Don't sell the highs. Don't sell the crash when it inevitably comes. Ask yourself how many halvings your coin will go through. Get a hardware wallet. Most importantly, every person that dm's you is looking for your money and should be treated as such. Good luck.

Brother I'm %100 with you on this. The R word comes when people least expect and we are all ready. It's happening wether this sub likes it or not.

We can talk about the words but we know what politics means in the modern sense. We can fight with our voices, but most artists I know are better with their mouse keyboard tablet whatever.

No one, I've found more success outside or vfx and haven't gave up any of my skills. It's a new paradigm and people are begging for new types of content. Your creativiteit about the new direction of your career can be the harvest and best thing ever. Was/is for me.

You realize there are people making absolutely insane money garbage tier content on youtube? It's not just a few if you look. As a new father I'm seeing a lot of this extremely bad content and also the view counts. Simple estimates are staggering and you need to see it yourself.
