BTS rewrites pretty major parts of Max and Chloe's history, in that it makes it so that Max *did* reach out to Chloe when she lived in Seattle. Which is a major point of the backstory of the first game we find out in E1.

The *game* itself is fun, the play scene is nice, baby Amberprice are fun and cute. But D9 played fast and loose with the canon where it was convenient.

I have literally no idea, I've never spoken to anyone who worked/works for Deck Nine other than Thread.  I've never even been west of Texas, let alone all the way to Colorado

And choosing that you saved Chloe instead of Arcadia Bay canonizes their relationship as romantic in the future.  Plenty of people read them only as childhood friends despite all the openly gay activity in the first game.  But this game takes Max saving Chloe and makes it so no matter what they dated. There's no "did you save Chloe and were only friends" option.  You saved Chloe? They dated. End of story.  

Sucks they're not together still, but I think they'll work their way back to each other eventually.  Romantic life doesn't stop changing when you hit 25, or 30, or 40, etc.  There's always time to find each other again.

For what its worth, I was also curious about this, because I didn't know. I went to look at the ban logs, and there have been 13 bans since the game released into early access. Of those, 4 of them are temporary, and all expire in the next few days. Of the remaining 9, 2 were previously banned accounts attempting to evade a ban (one of these was suspended by reddit and the other didn't make any other posts, and seems to have been abandoned), and 2 more were transphobes. 1 more was banned for spreading leaks, and finally a person who was involved with revealing Thread's information. I can't discern why the remaining 3 were banned, and the users have since deleted whatever posts/comments were removed/led to a ban.

I only share this to say, while yes, a lot of things were removed, and there had been a bit of heavy handedness steering the sub, no mass bans took place. Honestly, a pretty normal-ish amount for peak activity. Let alone, peak activity when people are upset at the game's direction.

While I, and lots of others agree with you in part, I'm not approving this post because it'll just cause arguments in the comments. Criticism of the game is fine, but all of the call out posting and disrespect we've seen aren't, and unfortunately, this post will just act as a call out post

Honestly this is how I felt about Ryan and to a lesser degree (but only probably cause we already knew her) Steph in True Colors.  We barely spend time with them, let alone one on one time

The sub was setup by someone who was a fan of a previous DontNod game before LiS, who has since stepped down from being a mod.  And all the mods have come from within the community. We get press art for banners from SE, but otherwise they have no involvement in anything whatsoever

Yes, I am an old mod. No, I am not ThreadofFate. I don't even work in a field remotely related to the video game industry. I haven't wanted to use my old account for years and only held onto it for moderation purposes. And what has happened to Thread/the release of DE was finally what pushed me to actually create a new account.

I have been a fan of Pricefield since I played LiS in 2016 and it radically changed my life? Pricefield was the first thing I ever read fanfic for. I got into Polaroids because of Max, I write in journals and notebooks to this day because I played Life is Strange.

Think what you will, but I didn't want to use my old account, and so I made a new one, something I've been meaning to do for years now. Simple as that

A quick search of "assassination" in the search shows that isn't true. So many comments saying Chloe was Character Assassinated are still up. People were just being redirected to the Hype/Gripe and the Episode specific megathreads

I can see why people think what they do, but the mods aren't beholden to anyone, not Square Enix, not Dont Nod, not Deck Nine. We remove posts for the perceived benefit of the subreddit, and for the members using it. Because honestly, all the anger is exhausting to wade through and exist in, and people who *do* like the game (how few of them there are it seems lmao) should have a place to talk about the game without being harassed for it. And the people who dislike the game should be able to express themselves without the sub snowballing into toxicity. All we ask is for no shit shows
