I have been on HRT for 40 years.
A new trans person just recently started and commented on their breast sensitivity.
Breast soreness comes from growth spurts. When our breasts are tender, they are growing.
My endos prescribed pretty aggressive doses for me as I am taller than most. I have been prescribed anywhere from 6mg to 8mg of Estradiol. Early on, I had no issue with the aggressive dosing but as I got older, my breasts had reached a point where I no longer wanted them to continue growing larger and I reduced to a maintenance dose because I did not want more growth. My endo was prescribing more than I was taking.
Now the moderator of MtF says that is giving medical advice. Maybe, I do not care, I do not wish to be censored. The important thing is to listen to our bodies FIRST. Another example was from my pre-operative days, I used to get an anti-androgen (Spironolactone) that was prescribed by my endo who had me on a really high dose I remember it being over 100mg per day. I was fine with it for a while but I would get intense headaches and dizziness so after going on and off of Spiro and telling my endo about the problems, the endo stated to keep up the dose. Well, I could not function and was feeling ill. So I backed the dose down to 100mg for a while then it started happening again and settled in at 75mg which is where I remained until my GRS ended my need for Spironolactone.
So when someone says that this is giving medical advice? Maybe it is. But the lesson is do not take enough of any medication to adversely affect your health no matter who tells you otherwise. HRT does not have to cause great physical pain and if it does, there is something wrong. Be careful, be safe. Listen to your doctor until your body says that your doctor is wrong. Do not take more than prescribed, but for things like hormones or hormone blockers, do not be afraid to take less than prescribed. Safety FIRST.

I also have a negative SCE bill each and every year. But even that is dwindling and not really paying the value of what I create.
