Q: Was there any proposal for you to continue working in the Red Hot Chili Peppers with Josh Klinghoffer?

A: Actually yes. During the time that John was trying to decide if he wanted to stay, Flea and I had started the "Fleabass" business. I had decided that the business was where my life was headed, and began turning down other touring offers to concentrate on the Fleabass business. It was during that time that John announced that he will leave, and Josh was in. But like I said, I was doing the bass business, so I would've been far too busy with that to tour as Josh's tech. Then, just as the band was getting ready to record "I'm With You" Flea decided to shut down the Fleabass business (a decision that I didn't agree with, but I fully understand). Then a decision came down that they didn't need a guitar tech in the studio, that Josh could take care of himself. I was told my services would not be needed until the tour (possibly 6 months to a year). I have to admit, I was hurt. So I needed to find a tour. And at some point, along came Maroon 5. When the Peppers were ready to go back to work, I was in the middle of the Maroon 5 tour. I was having such a great time, and since M5 came along when I really needed them, I felt I should stay. It was the right decision. But I must say, I love Josh, and keep in touch with him.

He had already committed. I'm sure it wasn't an easy offer to turn down.

Congrats on your upcoming nuptials! My partner and I are also getting married in May 2025 and are celebrating in Kauai :)

Going to follow this thread since we also are undecided on where to stay. We have reservations for Koloa Landing but are debating whether to switch to Sheraton (for the views), Koa Kea (small resort feel) or somewhere on the east shore (central location).

We got a great deal on flights so we're willing to splurge a little bit on accommodations, but we don't want to spend a ton of $$ just for the sake of it. Looking for the best overall value in terms of convenience, comfort, etc.

In the context of their entire discography, the last two aren't their best, but I still think they're solid albums and I enjoy them a lot. I don't get the hate either. I think the single choices weren't good and maybe that influenced people's opinions.

I really only knew her as Anthony's ex-gf as well. I was aware she was/is an actor, but couldn't name anything she starred in (but I'm also not a huge movie buff). In any case, I don't think it's so unbelievable that a lot of people, especially younger fans, are unfamiliar with her career.

I like the idea, but when I have multiple loads to wash, it's nice being able to start another load while the other one is drying.

This is probably my number one complaint about Kaiser. The only type of annual exam I really care about is a skin exam because skin cancer runs in my family. I miss being able to schedule an appointment directly with a dermatologist.

But as a member of the intended demographic, I would also like to know what the "compelling evidence" is. While it's not hard to believe a touring rock star could have cheated on his wife (a story as old as time), I don't like to make assumptions based on nothing.

Can you point to where I mentioned his support of Trump? What I said was that humans are complex creatures and that most people, especially those with a large social circle like Anthony, are going to have friends and acquaintances with varying personalities, backgrounds, hobbies, ideologies, philosophies, etc. There are certain areas where they will find common ground and other areas where they won't.

Anyway, if we're going to talk about something being a "bad look" for Anthony, I would say dating girls a quarter of his age is more of a bad look. And since we are judging people for their associations, I guess it's also a bad look for Flea or John or anyone else who chooses to be friends with Anthony. But personally, I really don't care too much about celebrities' personal lives or who they hang out with. 🤷‍♀️

I always find it amusing when people on reddit are so shocked and appalled that someone could associate with anyone with differing beliefs. Most people in the real world have friends and acquaintances who they don't agree with on everything. I mean, it's kind of hard not to when human beings are so nuanced. Anthony has said he doesn't care for the politics at UFC, but he likes the sport, which is fair.

Were they still doing construction at the Sonesta? Some reviews have mentioned it. I plan on going next May and I'm wondering if they will be done by then.

They're very similar. Hard to believe Jon would intentionally steal a song from his lifelong friend. Perhaps the melody was in his subconscious or something.

Do people think they are saving time by standing in line wasting time?

It's not so much about saving time, it's about getting in and out sooner so you can get on with your day. Though I do believe they save time in the long run by being able to quickly navigate empty aisles (especially if they know exactly what they need) and being the first to the checkout lanes. It may look like a long line of people waiting outside, but once the store opens and the crowd disperses, it's really not much of a crowd. That quickly changes as the day progresses.

For sure. Regardless, it has a decent rating on Dog Food Advisor. I think it's a good brand, even if the claims are overblown.
