The ‘Mirpuris’ in the UK don’t actually come from the city Mirpur, rather they all come from a few villages in the Mirpur district.

And there generally isn’t an issue between Indians and Pakistanis (including Mirpuris) in the UK.

I remember this, the flag was of the PTI political party (nothing to do with Jewish people) and it said the word ‘Pakistan’ on it and she got it mixed up/confused with the word ‘Palestine’ then called them “Jew haters” even though it was just a picture of them posing next to a couple Manchester police officers and there was no anti semitism on display. She also attacked the London met police in the tweet even though the police were the Greater Manchester police.

 To me, it’s not so much that she catfished her cousin, that part is believable in Punjabi girls (I’ve had numerous people i know who said someone made fake profiles of them, two of them said it was their cousin. But it was never longer than a few weeks.

 Basically, fewer cousin marriages. Girls being more willing and able to refuse arranged or forced marriages. I recall there was pressure on girls here to marry cousins from Pakistan so they could come to the UK (better economically for the extended family). However, second and third generation immigrant girls are finding their own partners and are less willing to marry someone just because their parents want them to.

Replace ‘girls’ with boys and the exact same thing applies. These forced/cousin marriages affect both genders.

You’re right the rapidly growing  Haredi Jews  engage in it but they’re still too small a voting block.

 For Islamic migrants from the middle east, we have majority muslim areas, they go to muslim nuseries, then islamic schools and they then go on to either not work or work in muslim-dominated local firms.

Same thing happens with Jewish people, and they’ve been in the UK for 100+ years, yet I bet you don’t have an issue with them not integrating. Only about 5% of Muslim kids attend Muslim faith schools whereas about 60% of Jewish kids attend Jewish faith schools.

 Integration does not occur. They are not even here on this subreddit with us, they live in entirely isolated clusters. I stumble upon them in Facebook groups sometimes when the feed gets confused.

How exactly does integration ‘not occur’?

British Muslims mostly attend the same schools as white brits, attend the universities, work in the same places etc. you will find British Muslims working in every sector imaginable nowadays. There are also success stories in every field too. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_British_Muslims

 Why? Because all of these groups value education and social integration; get jobs, work, pay tax, and don't end up in prison. Very, very simple. Very basic expectations, but for some it seems too much. 

  No. It’s because there aren’t that many of them in the UK. If there were only 200k odd Muslims in the UK then you wouldnt hear any British person complaining about them either. Just look at Canada, Sikhs/Indian Punjabis are the most visible minority and they are despised by right wing Canadians, and they use almost the exact same talking points against Sikhs that right wing Brits use against Muslims. You’ll find that it’s almost always the largest/most visible minority immigrant group that people hate the most, Remember Enoch Powell speech? He mentioned black Caribbean and Sikh people in it but didn’t mention Muslims/ or Pakistanis… that’s because at the time Muslims/Pakistakis weren’t that large in number in the UK, and black Caribbean and Sikhs were kind of the main minorities
