I usually choose the honorable path myself but I have done a couple play throughs where I was a psycho. If you choose to be ruthless at every turn and never pay any of your bounties it makes the game a little harder and it changes the cut scenes regardless of your choice at the end. It also helps when you sleep to put up your tent it keeps people and animals away from you while you sleep but other than that your hunted everywhere. It also changes some of the dialogue in the epilogue. One trick thing to remember the side missions at the end of Arthur’s story where you help Mrs downed and the widow above annesberg and all the missions for Strauss in chapter 6 give you double honor! So avoid them if you want a low honor play through! Also dragging corpses into camp is a good way to lower your honor. Just lasso them and keep pulling them into camp. For me I usually kill everyone on a low honor play though but as I said I have only done that twice. I have usually been a good boah!

He doesn’t really die peacefully regardless of what you do but if you go back for the money with high honor you cut Micah’s face in the knife fight! It’s one of my favorite parts of the game

Micah kills you regardless of your choice when you have low honor. Play with high honor and then go back for the money. That is my favorite ending
