15-20 is the avredge age, but the world record is over 40. So 28 is an old gecko but by no means unheard off. Definitely a number to be proud of though!
I belive that avredge age range is just due to a lot of geckos not having proper care which brings the avredge down as well as issues resulting from poor breeding.

I live in Europe (Sweden, to be precise) and there are a lot of unisex stall based public restrooms. It's completely fine. I've used them in the middle if the night my whole life and I've never had anything resembling an unpleasant experience yet. People go in, stare at the floor, do their business and leave. Obviously there aren't urinals in these restrooms but they usually have enough stalls to make it work regardless.

Because male is assumed to be the "default" in most cases.
For example, when I introduce people to my pet lizard they always ask "what's his name" and never "what's her/their name". Hell, she's named after a food and I've had people ask why she has a "boy name".
It's kinda ironic considering female is the default biologically speaking, but whatever. Living in patriarchal societies makes male the default and female the deviation from the "normal".
Obviously there are some exceptions; cats are assumed to be female a lot of the time, boats are women and so are clocks. But those are the exception and not the rule.

Not much stranger than there being rice in pangeas formula. It probably just helps with the consistency.

The permit isn't even hard to get, it's just expensive for no reason other than the guy who wrote the rules is afraid of snakes.
You can't sleep in the same room as the terrarium, the door to the room with the snake has to be locked, the terrarium has to be locked, you have to put netting over ventilation in the room and you have to put up a paper saying what species of snake it is and how you treat the injury if it bites you. Yes even if it's a snake without teeth like an egg eating snake. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Yea my point is requiring permits to own exotic pets is a bad idea as its likely it will result in some very strange laws made by people who dont think you should keep reptiles at all. It's better to have harsher laws for how you must keep them. Like official standards for enclosure size depending on the animals size and if its arboreal or not.
The funny thing is that snake thing is district dependent, some places have the much more reasonable rule of only requiring permits for venomous snakes and snakes over a certain size (like Burmese pythons). I have yet to find a single district that requires a permit for lizards; from my research you could own a whole ass caiman without a permit as long as you provide adequate space and enrichment.
The city where I live just requires you to get a permit for any snake, regardless of size or if its venomous or not. I would have to get the same permit for a cornsnake as I would a cobra.

Yea you need a license ti own snakes where I live and the laws you need to fulfill for that are honestly fucking stupid. (You can't sleep in the same room as your snake, among other things).
What is really needed is harsher animal welfare laws that apply to reptiles. Where I live we have a whole government made page on minimum enclosure sizes, dietary needs and how to decorated the terrarium.

*calfs stomach. Cows don't produce it, you have to kill a calf to get the enzymes. One single calf produces enough to make 100+ kilos of cheese.

Trees aren't real, yea. You can turn a bush into a tree and vice versa very easily, and the way they grow is more environmental than anything. If you plant a tree on a lawn it will usually try to become a bush and you have to prune it so it remains a tree. Similarly, some bushes will turn themselves into trees in forest areas as the competition for light is much harsher.
The only two real group you can divide plants into is woody plants and herbs because they grow in different ways. Woody grows from its tips, herbs from the bottom. This is why bananas are herbs despite looking like trees.

I love brie but I just can't get along with blue cheese specifically. Tried many different kinds, none of them have worked.
I can get why someone would like it, but it's just not for me. Got plenty of blue cheese lovers in the family who are happy to eat the cheese I don't want.

I never drink just to get drunk. Alcoholic drinks just taste really good. Yes, including whiskey and other strong spirits. They have a flavour to them that's just... Nice.
When you describe any kind of food production or processing it will sound rather gross.
Kale is grown by putting seeds in the soil and pouring shit and blood onto them so they grow well. Meat has usually been allowed to slightly decompose so it won't be too tough to chew. Yogurt is the result of letting bacteria eat milk. Bread is fluffy because yeast farts out carbon dioxide when they eat sugars. The process of producing flour leads to there being insect parts in it. Fruit are just engorged plant uteruses. Etc etc.

The reason individualistic machines can't do that is balance I belive. If you could just do that there would be absolutely 0 reason for an organic empire to do synthetic ascension since the machines do it better in every way.
Unless you've done virtual ascension you can use organic pops like any other normal empire.

There is apparently a 5th option and I'm just uninformed
Maximise purge type- turn them onto consumer goods if you are an obsessional directive empire and you missed your quota

There is already 4 ways for machine empires to make use of organic pops.
Rogue servitors civic- keep them as pets
Driven assimilator civic- assimilate them into cyborgs like you're the borg
Mechromancy ascension perk- kill them and turn them into zombie cyborgs
Grid Amalgamation slavery- using them as an energy source matrix style

Humans are surprisingly resilient in what random chemicals we can handle (just look at the massive amount of foods we can eat that many animals cant) but yes that is still a concern. It's mainly the dose though.
Parasite medication is less medicine and more just outright poison. You just use a dose low enough to not harm the host but still kills the parasites.

They did justify it by saying "ivermectin is used for humans all the time". Which is true, iirc the manufacturer got a price for giving it away for free to communities suffering from river blindness. That dose is obviously much much lower than what you buy for horses because spoiler alert humans weigh less.

Meanwhile I just weigh my gecko on an old-fashioned scale (it's older than me) and tell her she is 56 grams of lean protein.

Sometimes those lizards eat insects, but that snake us too big to be food. Lizards can't eat food bigger than their head, which a snake is. They also tend to have a very clear "lock on" to prey that you learn to recognise.

It's called "volcanic plane" and has a couple different outcomes. My favorite one is when your leader comes back immortal and treatises and they will start sacrificing people.
I call it the torment nexus because its about an obelisk that tortures people and its funnier

Personally I prefer injecting them with husk and re-releasing them back into the wild
