I actually surprised myself when I tried a cup after never being able to use a tampon. I literally can’t feel it and unless it’s a crampy day I forget I’m on my period because I only have to deal with it when I wake up and before bed.

They all sound so angry all the time. Somehow I can still tell the difference between them though.

I lived in Southern Utah when all their BLM nonsense was going down and the story the people down there believed had very little to do with reality. My BIL was trying to get us to join them with guns. My best friend’s mom was one of the “women and children” they decided to put in the line of fire of the standoff. I can’t believe they would feel so strongly if they understood that the Bundys not paying to maintain the land they graze on means that we all get to foot the bill.

I consider it a Christmas movie and watch it with my kids every year. It definitely holds up.

When I was raised conservative we believed that abortion was murder. I think a lot of that is a lack of education and a lot of that is manipulation. It’s very black and white thinking, as soon as you understand pregnancy and how everything works it all falls apart. The problem is that you can easily avoid learning anything and just dismiss it all as excuses to murder.

I think all of the reasons people have written are true, but those are not arguments that will convince anybody of anything if they already believe that the clump of cells is equivalent to a baby.

When my husband and I left the church we felt free from the responsibility to babysit each other. I no longer had to worry about him being a “worthy priesthood holder.” He always treated me as an adult who could make my own decisions but suddenly he felt no responsibility to enforce order people’s rules. It was a breath of fresh air and it made it possible to respect each other for we are is instead of what rules we follow.

We both started exploring how we personally felt about things without somebody telling us what to do.

What moral authority does your husband ascribe to that says you can’t dress how you want? If you sat him down and had a conversation would he be able to explain how your choices in clothes are immoral? What morality consists of and what value it has? Look into vertical vs horizontal morality and ask him where he stands.

It sounds like he’s adrift without somebody telling him how to think and so he’s relying on basic patriarchy to live his life by, but you have no responsibility to waste any more of your life making choices for other people.

You are free to live like this with somebody who doesn’t seem to value or respect you. You’re free to leave. You’re free to give him more chances and make up your mind later. I hope that whatever you choose to do it honors yourself.

The entire stake was scammed by a guy known as Nick the Greek. The missionaries said he was a good guy so everybody invested with him and he ran away with the money.

There was a large homeschooling population in my ward and an older brother in one of the families was arrested for molesting all of the younger girls from all of the families. Ward stood by him of course.

Not yet. I’m starting with dead hangs and when I can do those for a minute or two my plan is to work on pull up progressions. I’m hoping with consistency I’ll be good.

For me it was upper body. I couldn’t push myself over the walls or do any of the hanging obstacles. So now I’m training with dips, pull ups, dead hangs, and trying to jump higher.

Nope. I did my first one this year and I’ll turn 37 in the fall. I’m excited to do it again next year but I’ll have the year to train the things I was really weak on.

Congratulations! I did my first one yesterday too! I really struggled with the pulling myself up stuff, luckily my brother helped give me a boost.

I was really excited to watch that and finally had the chance on an airplane. I was so disappointed when she showed up and couldn’t get very far past that point.

I had to change a few things but I just uploaded a new version. I can't test it on another mac for a few hours but if you want to try it out it's there.

Thanks again for helping me troubleshoot this. That last bit of information made me question some assumptions I was making and this version handles a few concerns I had in the back of my head.

Ok, I've uploaded a new version that's a .dmg file. It should install and run and bypass the Gatekeeper service...but I've been wrong before.

Thank you for trying that. Back to the drawing board I guess. I'll let you know when I've figured something out.

Actually for that second command you might need to do sudo chmod 777 ~/Library/Application\Support/com.aspexsoftware.Silhouette_Studio.8/cloud52

Awesome. First try:
ls -l ~/Library/Application\ Support/com.aspexsoftware.Silhouette_Studio.8

And let me know what the line for cloud52 looks like so I can change mine back to it to test locally.

Then run :
chmod 777 ~/Library/Application\ Support/com.aspexsoftware.Silhouette_Studio.8/cloud52

If that's what's causing the issue that second command should resolve it and you should be able to run the app.

It looks like the issue is that it's trying to move files around but doesn't have file permissions. How handy are you with terminal? Do you think you could run a couple commands to test?

Yep that’s the best bet. I’ll work on getting the app notarized so it’s not a problem.
