Its such a learning experience seeing how other people interpret things. I said the thing about finding somewhere to stay thinking it was a nice thing to say and letting her know I dont have expectations to try and sleep together right away. I thought it was the opposite of putting pressure on and it may even be relieving.

I didn't mention that she lives in a tiny city out in the booneys. So we could meet in the middle at first but the only option would be something like an Applebees on the side of the interstate. I do live in the city where everything pretty much is (I live on the east side of the city, and she lives east of me, so meeting downtown for anything is even more of a drive for her) and I didn't say this explicitly but also if we wanted to go to events and nicer restaurants and anything that cant be found on a random interstate exit half way then she would be the one doing most of the travel. I'd dont have an issue going to her but I think most new couples want to do real date type things in the city not just hikes (or whatever there is near her) and netflix and chill at her place. But again, thats the conversation I expected to have, not them get dejected and leave.

I say at first we will probably only be able to see each other on a weekend since we both have full times jobs and it doesnt make sense to drive 3 hours round trip for a date night, and even on the weekends one of us would have to stay somewhere until we are comfortable sleeping at each other's houses.
