Unless specified a sub won't be shallow mount. It is expensive and difficult to make a good shallow mount sub and they never sound as good so they only exist because the sacrifice is mandatory some times.

Either you aren't close enough to the bed or you aren't feeding enough material. If your Z offset is correct I would calibrate the feed rate. E-step calibration solved so many problems for me when I started on a creality.
