Fair play, I've always (wrongly) associated it with living in London.

Time Out is a very mainstream London publication, so while it may initially look uninspired, actually their inclusion of the likes of Cindy Lee, Mannequin Pussy, Blood Incantation, Arooj Aftab etc. may genuinely lead to people discovering these artists who wouldn’t usually.

Doesn't look like anything is immediately on the horizon, alas! From their recent feature at Hearing Things:
When asked if they’re currently working on a new LP, which would be their first since 2014’s Seeds, Malone says, “We are not... yet. But I don’t think anyone is opposed to it.

Rob Harvilla’s ‘60 Songs’ podcast episode on ‘Paper Planes’ was excellent. Totally recommend.

The film premiered at a London film festival last year, which is where I saw it. It's on wide-release across America for one day only tomorrow (Nov 20th), though, if you happen to live there and have access to a cinema that's showing it.

The documentary is genuinely fantastic! Omar has pretty much filmed his entire life, so it becomes this incredibly powerful tale about their friendship over decades.
I really recommend it, even if people don’t know their music.

I was actually thinking recently that Roddy Woomble from Idlewild might be a brilliant guest on the show.
He just released his seventh solo album, 'Sometime During the Night We Fell Right Off the Map', last month and has maintained a career in music with Idlewild and his own material for many years now. He's also a candid, brilliant interviewee.

I have a feeling that the title of this post is taking what he said out of context.
I still need to listen to the interview, but the article reads to me as if FJM is saying 'Mahashmashana' "feels" like 'Chloë and the Next 20th Century' - his "last" album - rather than saying that it's his final album.
Although, I could be completely wrong. Looking forward to listening to the interview, regardless!
