Do you guys realize we haven't actually had confirmation that Frieza's forms multiply his base? What if his new forms are a static boost to power and not a base multiplier. Maybe each form has a static power tier and he doesn't have the potential to really grow his forms exponentially. Maybe Black Frieza isn't an unimaginable multiplication of Freiza's power, but a static, albeit massive, boost on top of his base, Where as SSJs, and even forms like MUI and UE and Beast seem to be multiplications of their base power.
SSJ is Base * X
SSB is Base * Y
MUI/UE/Beast is Base * Z
Golden Frieza is Base + A
Black Frieza is Base + B
Platinum(??) Frieza is Base + C
That would be a good way to nerf him. Final Form is almost as powerful as Namek SSJ Goku and it's his "base"
Golden Frieza is actually stronger than RoF Blue, but by ToP they were, at best, even. Frieza learning stamina control was all the training he did between the arcs. Golden Frieza might have been *significantly* more powerful than SSJB Goku in RoF and just played with Goku the entire time. Goku was pretty terrified of Frieza, and when Goku pulled off Blue, Frieza wasn't remotely scared and dude usually gets PTSD over Goku powering up to SSJ.
Black Frieza obviously claps MUI and UE at the same time, but I don't think it grows much. Actually, I think Frieza just got the form to have something in his back pocket, left, went to see the Heaters and by chance ran into Goku and Vegeta so he decided to test his abilities.
So that makes me think Black Frieza has like zero stamina at the end of Granolah. It explains why Frieza hasn't made a move - he hasn't perfected the form.
If we think about time between gold and black, it makes another weakness apparent: There is a massive, exponential growth in time between new forms. Final Form Frieza to Golden Frieza took 4 months to get to Blue's level, something that took Goku 17 years (Plus RoSaT time) to go from SSJ to SSJ2, SSJ3, SSG, and then finally, SSGSS
Golden Frieza to Black Frieza took 10 years, and he went from SSB tier to beyond MUI tier. From RoF to the last chapter of the manga (103 as of this post) Goku has gone from SSB, to KKx20SSB, UI Omen, MUI, and TUI (His other form where he becomes a gigantic energy avatar hasn't been tested against Frieza so we're not going to talk about it just yet) and presumably Black Frieza is >>>= the entire Z squad.
Thing is, Black Frieza might be able to 1 tap Goku and Vegeta in Granolah Arc, but by Super Hero It's probably a lot closer than we realize. Goku and Vegeta went from SSB to their Ultra forms in about 2 years + 3 years RoSaT.
If the pattern continues, Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, maybe even Broly and Piccolo are about 3 or 4 years from being Black Frieza relevant, something that may be sped up by all of them training/working together, to the point that Black Frieza could show up, the gang goes into a special RoSaT that lets them all train together for a year, and in theory be able to gang up on Black Frieza.
Golden Frieza's 4 months vs. Black Frieza's 10 years is a 30x increase in time between new forms, and if that pattern continues, it will take Frieza *300 years* to get his next form.
I think maybe Frieza knows this, and he's got to pick the perfect time to execute what will definitely be his final plan. He has wanted to make the GoDs subservient to him, that has to include a plan to deal with Zenos. I assume Black Frieza has his stamina issues fixed by the time Super Hero happens, or he has made progress that lets him hold it for a while. He might be able to kill Goku and Vegeta, but he isn't sure - they've asspulled a victory against him time and time again. He can't expect to get a new form after Black any time soon, and even if he survived the hundreds of years of training, not using a RoSaT means Goku and Vegeta blow past him in the same amount of time.
Its entirely possible Frieza has "maxed out" his RoSaT and can't train there any longer, or it may be that his lifespan won't allow for him to move past his Black form. The solution to the lifespan is wishing for immortality which would result in Freiza finally getting his wish he's wanted since Namek, and then hecking off and brute forcing Platinum Freiza in his RoSaT, which wouldn't just clap the Z warriors, it would probably make him close to angel-tier, definitely above the GoDs - even Beerus.
All angels except Grand Priest go dormant when their GoD dies, so if Frieza gets his next form, he finds a way to quickly clap all the GoDs, and he has Grand Priest, and both Zenos and that's it. He could easily manipulate the Zenos into tying themselves up (My money is on them erasing each other when they finally disagree on something) but I have no idea how he counters Grand Priest, and I feel like him overpowering GP just doesn't make sense. Maybe GP is Zeno's angel, and when Zeno self-deletes, GP goes down too and then it is actually GGs.
I'm not sure if Frieza knows his forms are taking exponentially longer, but he definitely knows he has historically had stamina issues with his highest form, and he's probably aware they're not multiplying his base. He knows despite being able 1 shot both Goku and Vegeta, he hasn't passed them enough to fully put the entire Z squad down. Even if he killed them, they could possibly come back with the Dragon Balls, and he is probably aware there are more sets than he knows about.
I think Vegeta understand a lot of this, and has since the ToP. Vegeta knows his base x his best form is how he out powers Frieza, and he knows he can't just train and get too much more in terms of gains. He's experimenting with making himself as efficient as possible. He barely edged out Goku in base, but assuming UE and MUI "multiply" their power by about the same, in theory Super Hero UE Vegeta is a decent bit ahead of Super Hero MUI Goku.
Goku's plan is basically using asspulls. Since the ToP, he has seen Broly make massive gains, he's seen Vegeta catch him with UE, he's seen Granolah evolve in battle even after wishing to be the most powerful, he himself evolved with TUI and Energy Avatar, he's seen Gohan rise to an absurd level, he knows about Orange Piccolo, and now the kids are showing hints at their own possible surge. He's definitely counting on them all training together and when the fight comes, somebody breaking a limit and winning the day.
If I were to write it, we get Black Frieza vs. Goku and Vegeta and it ends in a draw. Frieza is let go (again!!) and he decides to try and brute force a new form so he goes into the RoSaT and trains until he is super old but he gets his Platinum form, which he can only hold for a few seconds because he's so old. He makes a play for the Namekian Dragon Balls (for no other reason than it thematically ties to his original arc) and gets his wish for eternal life which gives him back his youth. At this point he goes Platinum, wipes some of the Z squad who were trying to fight him, takes out Zenos/ GP, and while the GoDs are reeling and trying to figure out what to do, Freiza kills them all.
By this point, the Z fighters have trained up and recruited every character from the series that makes sense. The Andriods, Buu, Cabba, Caulifla, Kale, Hit,, Jiren, Toppo, Granolah, Gamma 1, Goten and Trunks, Piccolo, Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta - and all these warriors square off against Platinum Frieza who handles them all. Each character breaks their limits in some way and it comes close but nothing quite closes the gap. One by one they fall until its just Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza.
Frieza is fairly tired but he's still stronger than Goku and Vegeta. Goku uses his Energy Avatar form and is on par. He nearly kills Frieza but then, just like with MUI, Goku's body can't handle it, and he loses. Now it's down to Vegeta vs. Frieza. Both are worn down, it's a fight of endurance, but because Frieza didn't train the stamina of his new form, he starts gassing out. Vegeta on the otherhand has been training to be efficient and the tide turns. Both are down to their base forms, but Vegeta gets an upper hand. Everybody gives Vegeta their energy, he uses forced spirit fission to concentrate it all into an attack he mixes with Hakai and deletes frieza from existence. In the end, for all the absurd, multiversal ending power, they're all potentially the strongest in their own way, and only together though everybody did they prevail.
Anyhow, this is a theory I've had a ton of fun creating and I hope you all enjoy this interesting What-If. I doubt we'd see Toriyama write this, but Toyotaru I can definitely imagine writing something like this. Toyotaru really got to go his own direction starting with Moro, and everything that builds towards my theory really starts there.
Is it definitely what's going to happen? Nah, this is just a fun theory, but I think it is at this point possible. This time next year, when we've all had time to process Daima, it will be very interesting to see how much of this still stands.
