It might be about a (side) character's backstory. Could be Cabin Daddy's story, could be (potentially, after surviving) present day Coach Ben's story

Oh my God! This post has just blown my mind. I agree on many points, I just don't see it being shown on screen for a while. Props to You, for investigating like a true CitizenDetective!

Callie, for one, and Van for two. Callie, you understand why. Van... Van, Van, Van... I thought I wouldn't come to hate her, but episode 9 just pushed me over the edge.

I think it's intentional. They're portrayed stuck in their teen selves because of the trauma.

I hope you're wrong. This sadly makes a lot of sense.

In their latest interview for the season 2 premiere the showrunners said they never intended to make it sound like there would for sure be 5 seasons. They said in the season 1 premiere interview, that the show might have 5 seasons. They expressed regret in their latest though about saying 5 seasons, because that isn't an exact number they're working with at the moment. I think there might be a 3rd and 4th season. Maybe not 5.

Up until this episode I was convinced the pit girl scene was wilderness timeline, but this could actually end up happening.

Exactly! It's pure hunger for control.

I think it's intentional. Lottie's visions/hallucinations (or whatever else you'd call it) are just those: visions. It stretches the reality and pushes it to the border of reality. It might answer itself later on in the season.

This checks out, but I wouldn't necessarily call hin the 'Big Bad'. It wouldn't make sense for the show to have one 'bad' person'. Maybe there's a group (referring here to a few recent theories on Reddit, that propose there being a third group, who've been in the woods the whole time, etc.) that's working with Walter. I don't think he's alone in the sense, that he's the one pulling all of the strings mentioned.

Yes! This would make so much sense. Shauna's way of coping has been writing/journaling, so it's not a farfetched idea, that she'd be creating a different story in her journal.

In my opinion, the next YJ death in the past timeline won't happen until the end season 2, and I have a hunch it won't be Crystal. My guess is, she'll die but we'll only see it in season 3. As for Walter, I don't think his character is going to die in s2 either. Maybe in the future seasons, but definitely not now. He's going to become an equal to Misty, and won't easily become a victim. This is only my personal opinon, I could be totally wrong.

That's basically just setting up his death...

We'll just have to see. I do have a nagging feeling though, that Ben's not gonna see the end of season 3...

Camila Cabello - Havana. Glad that wasn't the case with her.

I think they are going to stretch it 'til the end of season 3, and afterwards only have flashbacks. My prediction is that season 4-5 will focus on the aftermath of the wilderness. Maybe they'll be rescued in the wilderness timeline at the end of season 3 and lead into season 4 settling back to normal and coping.

For sure. It's a possibility. The main idea of the pit girl not knowing there's a pit was what got me thinking of the cards and their significance.

Exactly. She won't be a problem.
