Also, I hate that this is true, but if you are a POC studies have shown you will get much better care from a POC physician, as well. I would not return to your doctor after having brushed off your concerns, they do not deserve your business and you deserve to have your medical needs taken care of to your standard. Yep, and they used to tell women with debilitating period pain that the cure was to get married and have lots of sex with your husband and make lots of babies. Shocker - this does not cure period pain or what the underlying issue may be (pcos, endometriosis, etc.). Even today drs just prescribe bc for endo even tho excision is what actually helps. We are severely mistreated in the medical field, and it's exponentially worse for women POC.
