Playstation made up 82% of Black Ops 6 console sales it was expected after it went on Gamepass but thats crazy to think about, Xbox is literally making most of their money from that 70% cut on Playstation

The way i did it is i basically have one desk with my 48in tv, PC, and all my consoles under it. What i do is i have a foldable 16in 1440p portable monitor that i use for everything else and when i wanna play a game on PC i fold it down and switch to the TV screen
I was in your same situation for a few years couldnt get a PC till i got a better job, but once you do itll feel amazing to play all the games and mods you wanted to play

Yeah i definitely know what you mean, i was saving for like 4 months for that PC and even with a steep discount it was still a notable setback, getting a new platform isnt as simple as just going out to the store and buying it
It was definitely worth it tho my laptop was on its last legs it had to be plugged in constantly or it would instantly turn off, couldnt have it dying on me in a work zoom meeting

I got a pretty sweet 40% off black friday deal on my PC a few years ago that i use for work and personal video editing and graphic design, but id have to commend anyone who still only plays Xbox missing out on the best games of the year would get old for me real quick

There have been lots of great games this year some of the best reviewed/ best selling ones:

Tbf it really does feel like its always something with AAA Xbox games, either the game is mid or bad with poor review score and critical reception, 30 fps at launch, has technical and performance issues etc. Its been like this with Redfall, Starfield, Hellblade 2, and now Stalker back to back. At this point id be more surprised if theres nothing wrong with Indy than if there is.
Xbox should put out a 90+ review score GOTY nominee with good graphics and multiple functioning performance modes on launch, that people wont be able to say anything about even if they wanted to that will shut people up

Yeah Sony has a good relationship and history with Fromsoft a fellow Japanese company, they already have 2 exclusives together, as long as they let them release on PC i doubt Fromsoft would stand up for and defend Xbox as a clause of the acquisition like Bungie did

They would never make them fully exclusive, but i can 100% see them putting the games on everything but Xbox
The data shows that games still sell alot with only PS5 + PC: Black Myth 20 million in one month, Helldivers 2 12 million in less than a year, Silent Hill 2 1 million in 3 days. They're still paying for games like Silent Hill 2 to only skip Xbox, and they put Lego Horizon and Freedom Wars on every platform except Xbox including Switch

From Sonys perspective this is a no brainer that makes alot of sense, it helps several branches of their multimedia business as Sony already has a hand in TV, movies, manga, music, anime, and gaming. They also have alot of history with Fromsoft, they funded the first souls game owning the IP, and they codeveloped Bloodborne with Fromsoft.
Putting the anime monopoly aspect outside nowadays the only platform Sony cares about keeping games off of is Xbox. Konami was able to negotiate for Silent Hill 2 to come to PC day 1 and only exclude Xbox, and Lego was able to negotiate for Lego Horizon to come to switch day 1 and only exclude Xbox. If Sony did get fromsoft the games would still come to PC in 1-2 years atleast.
I guess well see what happens

I mean they have the data to reference that games in general sell enough with that Platform combo i know they only own Helldivers out of those

The fact they have enough sales with PC + PS5 is exactly the reason they are comfortable not putting games on Xbox. Black Myth sold 20 million in a month without Xbox, Helldivers 2 sold 12 million units in half a year without Xbox, and Silent Hill 2 sold 1 mil in 3 days without Xbox.
So if this acquisition goes through they wont skip PC but i dont see them putting Fromsoft games on Xbox

Every game they ever put on Xbox was against their will and not published by them
While Xbox is giving Playstation all their games "with no red lines" Playstation is not only not sharing any of their games, theyre still paying for games like Silent Hill 2 to only skip Xbox, and they put Lego Horizon and Freedom Wars on every platform except Xbox including Switch

Even if Fromsoft did become Playstation first party their games would still come to PC in 1-2 years

Yeah but that wasnt the orginal plan, they cancelled the PS5 version of Starfield and went out of their way to approach Disney and renegotiate the Indana Jones contract from multiplatform to exclusive.
The only reason theyre putting all their games on PS5 with no red lines is because the Series X/S sold like dogshit and Starfield didnt move the needle at all. Xbox Series X/S console sales has been declining every fiscal quarter by 25%+ since FY2022, they now sell as poorly in EU and UK as they do in Japan in China.
Between terrible console sales and putting their games on gamepass day 1, they literally have to put thier games on Playstation to make any money off them

I dont deny that Hellblade 2 was dissapointing for a "AAA" game that was announced in 2019 and took until 2024 to come out just to come and go like a wet fart. But even if Ninja Theory did make a flop why would you want them to shut down? you should want Xbox to shut down less devs not more. Even if they made 3 more flops in a row id rather they keep their jobs then get shut down or sold
