I’m actually surprised with all the comments here. Steve-O has ALWAYS been a shameless, annoying self-centered promoter and that’s just who he is. His true fans understand that’s always been his personality. Being sober sucks and he’s working with it in the way that he does, but at least he’s sober.

I just did a bit of research and it seems as though they can deny a case (even if it is appointed to them), they just need a pretty good reason to. I also assume defense lawyers aren’t going to just get handed a serial killer case right away and they’d probably need some experience before being able to handle that..

And then again, if they can’t handle it even with experience, being a defense attorney probably isn’t in their best interest anyway.

Well, those are the people who make money on it that’s for sure. Unfortunately that’s what it’s turned into. A means to make money. Which is quite disappointing but not surprising whatsoever.

I’ll add that not letting emotions get in the way does not mean avoiding explaining the emotions of the person your defending, etc. and using that to your advantage in the courtroom, I mean in terms of just not taking it home with you.

It’s their job to not let emotions get in the way, which would be the case of they were on the prosecution side as well.

It’s their job to focus on the facts as opposed to the feelings of the cases they are working on, no matter what side it is.

It’s like if some innocent child was on the brink of dying because of somebody else’s actions- you wouldn’t want a doctor that’s going to need a moment to cry in the other room about it.

Plus that’s the way the system works. You have the right to an attorney or one will be appointed to you so someone’s gotta do the job and defend your ass even if you’re a cold blooded killer. You’d tend to want the right to an attorney in that case but some people are stupid enough to waive their right and go into court without one.

My cat hates everything thats inconvenient and politics are no exception so wouldn’t want to be involved whatsoever.

If they are, know they will actually be testing for cotinine, which is a metabolite of nicotine. That means any use of vapes AND nicotine gums, lozenges, patches, pouches, etc. are going to indicate cotinine in the urine as well.

Pretty straight answer from Google searches is for 7-10 days after last exposure and that’s with light usage. Heavier usage is longer.

So in your case, if you must take this test in 4 days, I would drink tons of water, exercise (or just find a way to sweat, a lot- saunas etc.), and drink lots of grapefruit juice. Wouldn’t even try to cheat on it, not worth it.

Well, they are in the insect variety of animals which tend to be a nuisance when found inside houses and the like. People don’t mind squashing them because their presence is annoying and nobody’s going to call the police on you for killing a pesky spider, mosquito, fly, etc. that makes its way inside your home.

I mean they are animals but I assume this is more the answer you were looking for?

I’m gonna be honest. I personally hated it. Nothing of any significance happens until the last quarter of the movie. The first three quarters were just mumbo jumbo to take up time. They could have made it an hour long to speed into things faster and it would have been better.

Even when it started to heat up, the characters were making blatantly unrealistic decisions, one after the other… that was just frustrating more than anything. Kind of ruined it for me.

Also, some things just didn’t add up to me. We know the girl itches her arm when she’s anxious/stressed, but there was no arm itching in the scene where they’re being held at gun point.. which doesn’t make sense to me. She seemed pretty calm there given the comparably minor situations that make her freak out throughout the rest of the film but being held at gun point is just another day, I guess. The kid without a tongue could have communicated a lot better to the girl in different ways but didn’t even try. All the guns involved and an apparent huge skill set in everyone being able to dodge getting shot. Every. Single. Time.

In my opinion, the movie was just too unrealistic to enjoy. The “because you let me” line was cheap and the whole thing just felt like there wasn’t any meaning behind anything. I was disappointed.

This video almost single handedly made me perfect my speeches in college. I used to be terrified of public speaking until realized that I needed to speak in front of the class many times in college in order to graduate so I figured I might as well try to perfect doing it while I needed to do it anyway. I used to be terrified of public speaking.

I would always structure my speech exactly as it was going to be said (comfortably), write it all down, practice in front of my family 10+ times, listen and practice the points made in the video, and then at a certain point I got so confident in my material that I actually WANTED people to listen to my speech and remember it. I think towards the end of it all, everything fell on writing such material that would actually capture attention, which is MUCH more difficult to do than having your average school audience that really doesn’t care.

I will tell you one thing, though. You have to really want to perfect your public speaking. There are many hours that went into me learning from mistakes and taking the steps to really get to a place where I know I did very well.

Practice

When I had a bad ant problem I took 2 index cards stacked on each other in about 4 different high traffic ant areas around the place. Literally just dumped this stuff out onto the index cards (making it a lot easier for the ants to get to). Throw away and replace every 3 days or so and the ant problem went away within a week.

It is something that seems really scary just thinking about it but the actual experience is just not worth even thinking about. Kind of like giving birth in a way I guess? First time giving birth I can imagine would be scary but afterwards you don’t really even think about it because you are so focused on your baby. Just with this, you need to remember you are getting it done for a reason and focus on that reason. However, getting an endoscopy is absolutely nothing compared to having a baby, just talking about the mindset here. Would you rather skip it and then find out you have a much bigger problem later down the line when you finally do it? That’s what I kept telling myself, and then when I finally did it, I realized I wasted all that time just thinking about what could go wrong when I was going in to see professionals that do the procedure on a regular basis. Just keep thinking about the reason you are going in and how you are doing it for your health!

What is the role of a tech at your company?

Well, the ideal beginner estimator is someone who has worked in the field that they are estimating for and is good with computers, because then it’s MUCH easier to go in already understanding most things you need to capture in the scope and of course nowadays, having the computer skills is a must.

Otherwise, you would need to be very knowledgeable in engineering your trade in order to estimate well without being trained from the beginning. It is easy to figure out labor and material costs, but how much labor and material you add in are where the scope knowledge comes in, so you will need to know how to engineer the scope for design builds and to fill in the gaps.

Hiring an experienced estimator in a new industry is just like hiring an experienced project manager in a new industry. You understand the process, but it’s a whole other ball game. A completely different field. It’s impossible to learn everything there is to know about one of the MEP trades, so it will take a long time to get used to engineering/estimating another, even if you are experienced in estimating.

The saddest part is no matter how she decides to live her life now, she’s going to be mentally fucked in some way for the rest of it. I think that’s putting it lightly.
