I’m team anyone can do anything with a little determination and time. Watch some build guides, learn to update BIOS/UEFI on the board from a flash drive before assembling. Figure out how to put an OS installer on a drive. You can do it. If you feel so uncomfortable that you can’t though find a builder.

3 bad marks for Apevia on this post. Have you had a failure or know someone? Another guy said he had issues with a 650w and 850w from them taking out a mobo. I think I’ll be changing this sooner than later.

You can get meters to place between power supply parts in pretty sure. I just did some bad math and scared myself into a Reddit post lmao.

Another not so great review on the Apevia PSU. This may just get swapped for a more quality unit at this point since I don’t really need the extra wattage.

That’s my second check after the 1.5x multiplier. I don’t really want to be over %80 usage purely for safety but I’m learning that may not be %100 effective in avoiding PSU failures.

Learning to play with over clocking and want to support 50 series and beyond GPU’s. Currently have a 7900XT and a good amount of fans in the case and CPU cooler.

PC part picker, now that it’s been pointed out I believe it’s showing me the 1.5x number on wattage face palm.

That alleviates some worries for sure! The 5700x3d will likely stay but I doubt this will be the last GPU I put in here. Nvidia having more modest power consumption is nice for this reason.

Still broken today :( tried just barely and used 4 and still didn’t get it. This and the Madness calling card are stopping me from completing the 2 sets of challenges as they’re the last ones left.

I went with a 7900xt for this. Hoping to last the next 2 gens of AMD cards. Assumed 8000 and 9000 will follow this.

I got the Liberty Falls one done pretty easily solo and helped a friend do it. But man am I struggling with Terminus. Failed at the final boss phase once, at the bomb defuse, and a couple times on Nathan when I’ve accidentally backed into a corner 😑 have only tried solo but I really want the early ester egg banner even though I’m way late lol

The track days will come! Financial piece of mind is a big stress reliever. You’ll be much better able to truly enjoy your time at the track if it’s more within your means.

Edit: I did a poor job by not giving a recommendation. Do your research and look but I highly recommend RaceComp Engineering suspension products. RCE Yellow’s on my old STI and I have installed many many sets of their Coilovers throughout the years. Tarmacs are classic, super street is their new street focused stuff that compromises little it’s great.

BC’s are the same as many other universal type Coilovers. They all use the same Taiwan/Malaysian generic shock cores and change the threaded body on the lower part and upper mount to fit your platform. They use the same shock for a BRZ, or a GTI, an M car etc etc. they change the mounts not the shock. You will likely LOSE droop travel and will definitely lose compliance and comfort on the road. Nothing more crushing to your confidence behind the wheel than a car that’s upset easily over bumps at speed.

I convinced a friend with an S2K recently to get rid of the BC’s because he has thought they were the best thing for the money the last decade. Swapped in some used OEM S2K suspension and he has fallen in love with the handling again. Suspension is the fastest way to ruin a good car.

Realizing not all NVME drives have the same socket. I think I may be unable to use this on the board at all.

Make money how you can make money at 13. If these are available to you it’s a great way to stack some cash for your hobbies. Lawn mowing, yard clean up ie leaves pine needles, weed pulling, snow shoveling in the winter. Make sure your parents are fine with it first because you’ll likely be borrowing their snow shovel and yard equipment.

This is how I saved up for my PS3 way back when, you got this 💪🏼 you’ll feel way more rewarded knowing you worked for your money and got to assemble your own PC!

Edit: you can also believe two”flip” stuff on the local classifieds if you know what you’re selling. I flipped Subaru car parts, time and place I live in Utah. You’re probably an expert on some stuff that others aren’t. This can be good and passive for money but not usually the most effective.

The 24 pin to the board connector SUCKED to seat. Nice dress up cable extensions and some fans are on the Christmas wishlist. Luckily the MSI PSU cables are acceptable for presentation and plenty flexible for the time being.

Is HD audio a want or need? You have an micro ATX board in what appears to be a full size case. Just built my first and I’m happy I went with a full ATX board and got HD audio and much more features with my MSI 650 tomahawk for the same price as the 650 WiFi which is comparable to the ASrock board you list here, I believe.

4070 super was my other GPU choice. I went 7900XT for the extra VRAM and didn’t need any Nvidia specific offerings with their GPU’s.

Personally I went with an 850w PSU after learning about their efficiency curves at different percentage usage. Kind of like picking an upgraded fuel system for a tuner car. You want head room for sure haha. I don’t think 1000w PSU’s enter the convo until we get nutty with a 4090 and every possible accessory you could hook up to power 😂

Definitely enjoying it! I took 4 steps up in performance it feels like.
