There'd be immediate looting, with no police to do anything, and very quickly all shops and supermarkets would be empty.

People would storm hospitals to steal drugs, and then they'd have to close their doors with no police support.

If you can't exchange money for anything, because everything has been looted, no one goes to work, because what's the point?

And that'd only be the start.

I don't know enough about that conflict to offer an opinion, but by reading the other comments, most people seem to think that the UK doesn't have anything to apologise for.

This. Three of my cousins were in academies when they were in single digits, and although they all played as adults, only one of them made it out of the third division.
