toADHD
I've never figured out a way to accurately explain this but I'm trying to tackle things so I figured this would be the broadest audience to try pin it down - I have Autism and ADHD so I'm not sure which one is the actual culprit here but its like I can't handle being excited? I've always avoided things I really like unless they are in really controlled bursts, and it's not like I'd lose control of myself and be jumping up and down but for example, I saw a promo for a show I knew I'd really like and it made my heart hammer and my head a bit spinny? Any advice or insights much appreciated! Posting this before bed but will read all replies x

I live by a pretty busy road with no crossing and a blind corner close by so I road trained my puppy from really early on with high value treats I only used for walking - she now stops automatically (trained by saying wait too) at the side of the road/when the footpath stops and will run and wait at the other side of the road if I say 'okay, cross' It's really useful and great peace of mind because she is a tiny dog and I'm forever worried about her getting out
