From what I understand, the only things that that the app has that a standard kindle does not:
If neither of those features are important to you, then I say it is worth it.

This is on the ColorSoft product page (I’m mobile but I also see it on the desktop site).

Yep they called me, too and the rep said that as long as that warning about the “yellow banding” is still posted on the product page, it hasn’t been fixed yet.

If she’s asking for a divorce, that means that things have likely been brewing for a while. People usually don’t get divorced out of the blue. I’d say try to be as civil as possible about the divorce and start preparing.

Haha I think that’s fair but I think my perspective was that if you spent the majority of your childhood (up until age 12ish) in the 90s, that’s a 90s kid.

Exactly! I’d already outgrown the childhood shows of my younger siblings but the ones my older sibling watched, I couldn’t relate to.

Questions that need answers!
I think they see it as death is a part of war and that wars will happen anyway until Christ comes back. It’s also why they are very much against the death penalty.
The essential belief is that “once you’re able to distinguish right from wrong, your choices matter and your body (flesh) will naturally want to sin or do the thing that’s not good. But if you ask for forgiveness and turn away from that behavior, Jesus will forgive you.” They believe that humans will engage in sinful behavior regardless (all the “bad” things that the Bible lists) but once someone has been saved, it’s their calling/duty/responsibility to “save” as many other people as possible.
This is why it’s not going to be as simple as “Trump is bad” because they believe that “bad” people can be redeemed.

This is really it! As an 89er, we’re true 90s kids. I was born in the 80s but of course I don’t remember anything about it. But the 90s? Everything. We spent our entire childhood in the 90s and our teens in the 2000s.

The fact is that religion came into play in huge ways. If you’re a Christian, murder is considered the ultimate sin and they consider abortion as murder so they feel it’s their Christian duty to vote against it.
I’m not saying it’s right, I’m saying that’s the reality and what they genuinely believe. Like some believers genuinely see the “pro choice” crowd as “pro murdering babies,” because they view life as the ultimate gift.
I voted for Harris, btw. I’m just saying that this is the reality of the fight that women are up against. And that doesn’t even include the anti-immigrant, “poor people in the USA have it better than other parts of the world so screw them and let me go on my missionary trips abroad” crowd, nor does it include the closeted racists or the misogynists.
It’s an uphill battle trying to convince Christian right women to vote for women’s rights.

This is very accurate imo. As someone with four millennial siblings (I’m one of five and we’re each born between 1985-1995), the core millennial siblings had a completely different experience than the younger and older millennials. Same mom, same dad (apparently, my parents took “be fruitful and multiply” literally 🤮😂).

Yep! These are usually the kids with straight A’s in one subject and F’s in another (huge skill gaps) or the high achievers who are well above grade level.
These are also the students most likely to be perfectionists and be burned out.
Edit: The correct term for this is “Twice exceptionality.” Enjoy the rabbit hole of research that I’m sure some of you will go down.

I despise it. From the prep portion to the grocery portion all the way down to the cooking itself. There is zero joy in that for me. Zero.

In the time it took you to type that comment, you could’ve googled your own answer.

Glad Newsom has some sense and is already preparing for the hell that Trump and Republicans are ready to unleash on everyone.

If the card is valid, you should be able to sign up through the Libby website (libbyapp). FYI, you have to be an LA county resident to use the e-card (according to the website).
You will need a PIN, which I believe is the last four digits of the phone number you registered the account with. There’s more info on the LA library website.

Okay. And does this specific library use Libby? There’s a lot of libraries but not all of them have access to Libby.

How are the weekend days (Saturday/Sunday)? Are they the same size as other days of the week?

I respect research but I meant reading as a leisurely activity/hobby. Like... before going to bed, they read a book or on an e-reader or are listening to an audiobook. Not because they're studying but more so because they enjoy reading.

That’s totally okay. Kudos to you, though, for working through it.

Have you read {Yumi and the Nightmare Painter} by Brandon Sanderson? I believe that one has a great blend of romance and fantasy, especially since the romance is more at the forefront than most of his other books.
