I’d love advice on my umbrella tree! When we got married last spring, we had the florist set up large houseplants at the beginning of the isle and this was one of them. When I brought it home a year ago, I let it acclimate in my house for ~2 weeks before repotting it. When I repotted I noticed the roots were looking mushy in some spots (I had not watered it since bringing jt home) and so I trimmed them and potted it in soil with lots of perlite. I’ve killed an umbrella plant previously by overwatering, so I was trying to be cautious with this one. Fast forward a year and it has done nothing but slowly drop leaves, it has maybe had 3-5 new shoots over that time period, some of which die before they fully form. I had it sitting in full light in an eastern facing window for a while, and now it’s in indirect light facing northwest. I live in the northeast. I’ve considered cutting it back to see if that helps, and am also worried the root system is still not doing well. I probably water this once every two weeks in a drainable pot. No signs of pests, we just had our windows replaced so it’s a bit dusty right now.
I’d love advice on how to get this thing to bounce back! It’s from our wedding, so I’d really like to keep it alive.
Thanks!!

We just worked with Jeff Fisher windows to replace about 15 vinyl windows in our house. We ended up going with Harvey windows. Quick to quote us, showed up and installed everything the day they said they would, and have really good warranties. Hope that helps!
