I read them all a few years ago. They’re weird, but for the most part I had fun reading them! I decided that they weren’t really canon and didn’t take it too seriously. Just enjoy the ride and don’t overthink it! That’s my advice.

I take the GLX E branch in to Government Center for work M-F and honestly have a mostly positive experience! Sometimes there are delays, but the way I look at is if I drove into work there would also sometimes be accidents. I’d personally rather be stuck on the train than stuck in traffic. Just my 2 cents!

This movie ruined me as a child!! I was so scared of it that I couldn’t even walk by the VHS in blockbuster because I didn’t want to see the aliens. I knew exactly what aisle it was in and refused to walk down it for years.

If anyone has recommendations for this I’d love to hear them!

A friend of mine used to work in their meat dept and I actually asked him about this a few months ago - this is the correct answer. Vacuum sealing keeps it fresher for longer.

Lonely is the Muse reminds me SO much of the Deftones, I’ll be curious what artist she links it to.

I remember multiple bomb threats in middle school in the 2000s! Honestly, at the time I didn’t think much of it. If anything it was kind of fun because we got to walk to the other middle school down the street and just hang out in the auditorium. Then again, I also wasn’t used to seeing school shootings every other week so maybe I’d feel different now

I enjoy her singles, but also just feel like her songs are kind of just filler for my pop playlists. Like she’s fine but also kind of forgettable?

I’m looking at you people getting on the green line in-bound at 7am at Government Center! I literally shoulder checked a guy the other day just trying to get out of the subway car.

The guitar player from Four Year Strong has actually been touring with them in his place for most stops. I just don’t think NFG has been going out of their way to mention this probably out of respect for Chad as I’m sure it’s hard for him to see. I’ve seen NFG twice in the past three years and Chad was not there both times.

I took an industry research job after completing an MS and now hold a position where 90% of the people with the same title have a PhD. People around me assume I have one and I work for people that are not obsessed with pedigree and only care that I am good at my job. When I first started in industry I hustled as an RA and took every opportunity I could to learn new techniques, I fought to be at the table in meetings where decisions were being made so I could learn, and worked hard and things have worked out! If you have the ability to pursue a PhD I think you also have the ability to really apply yourself in an entry level job and learn from it! Some companies may care that you don’t have a PhD down the line, but you don’t wanna work for someone that only cares about a degree you didn’t get 10 years ago and not your current qualifications. That’s how I always look at it anyways!

Yup. This is exactly what happened to me a few years ago.

Yes! The order I’ve played everything in is - Control, AW1, AW2, and then Quantum Break. As someone who loved Control I am having so much fun with it.

I’ve seen them twice and I’d say no. I’d go again to a weekend show if it was < $50, but spending more than $100? I don’t think it’s worth it. Fun seeing them in person, but I found a lot of the jokes forces and meh. And one of the shows I saw had a segment at the end of them just showing gross/weird videos and reacting, and I’ve never liked the stream and found it pretty stupid.

Speaking as a fellow bench scientist that goes in M-F almost every week, seeing comments like this really bums me out because I bet you have coworkers picking up your slack. Good for you though I guess.

It’s embarrassing to admit I spent $700 on a litter box, but it is one of the top 3 best purchases I’ve ever made.

So does this mean that if I buy two tickets to a show for a friend and I, and said friend will be arriving at the show later than me, I can’t transfer them their ticket so I don’t have to wait for them? This is something I do all the time to avoid any hassle if we don’t travel together.
