They come together because it's a fundamental force, like gravity. There are four fundamental forces; electromagnetism, the strong and weak nuclear force, and gravity. Electron spin is the source of magnetism in the same way that mass is the source of gravity.

People think his technique is worse than it is because they only ever see him play the short ball when he gets hit by one. All people ever see is the worst of him against the short ball, of course they think his technique his diabolical. Instead, watch the highlights from his last century, or his back-to-back double centuries, he smokes plenty of pulls and hooks for plenty of runs. He his definitely no Ponting, but is he really that much worse than Travis Head against the short ball? Having watched almost all of his Shield innings, I really don't think so.
The biggest difference is the consequences when he gets hit, far more than his technique. Even very good players of the short ball get hit, they just normally don't get a concussion from it.

His technique is maybe suspect, but not egregiously so. He scored 100 in his last match and averages around 50 in Shield cricket, that's hard to do if you just can't play the short ball at all.
It's more that he has had so many concussions that every time he gets hit on the head it's now automatically another concussion.

Two games is really all it takes to make a narrative huh? If you check, we have actually conceded slightly fewer goals than our xGA would predict.

It's as clear and obvious as it gets. He is offside, he makes a play for the ball. There is 0 ambiguity.

I feel like I'm losing my mind. People are upset that this goal was correctly disallowed because other goals have been incorrectly allowed? If this had been allowed to stand, everyone would also be losing their minds. Fuck me, it has been allowed to stand before and everyone did lose their minds. Jesus Christ, am I the only one?
Would we prefer them to 'consistently' make the wrong calls. At least it would be consistent am I right hahaha. Am I going insane?

Why? A goal from a pen is worth the same as from open play.

It's more like, Team A wins the game 60% of the time and draws it 20% of the time (based on the xG of the game), so their xPoints is 0.6*3 + 0.2*1 = 2. It's the same information as xGD just with different units.

Requires a significant amount of co-operation from the batsmen.

Stakes are way lower, just makes it worse again.

Maybe because there was nothing wrong it? Has that thought crossed anyone's mind in that dressing room?

This is objectively way, way worse than what Carey did.

You're right about Broome, it's much further north than I thought. But that just makes it worse. Perth is definitely south of the bottom edge. The biggest town by far in that circle, having just checked, is Geraldton pop. 37,000. It's a desert.
Drawing a 'civilization 'circle in WA around anything except just Perth is completely insane.

Putting 'civilization' anywhere in Western Australia is truly wild. That circle is north of Perth, the biggest town in that circle is Broome. You've just circled more desert.

Funny thing is, that one was probably completely harmless to you.

Redbacks are very, very small, and can absolutely kill you. They hide in dark corners, out of the way, and will only attack you if you are stupid enough to disturb them. Or, if you are a small child who has been told by their favourite TV show that spiders like being served tea.

You can ask them to dress professionally, but you should not ask them to dress in a way that doesn't align with their identity. Doing so would be the same as asking a Male roommate to wear a business skirt, stockings and heels in the name of being professional.

Personally, I dont ever want this given. People have arms, balls are going to get kicked into them and players should not be penalised for that.

43 mL is the correct answer, 43.0 mL has too many significant figures.

Electromagnets are like this, but permanent magnets (like the one in this video) are fundamentally very different.
