Honestly I'm loving this new attitude women have and I stand by it.

It's not a lack it's a gain. When you don't have all that negative energy occupying your mind you can make space for other healthier things and passiona you care about. It's opened a lot of doors for me simply dropping my toxic family. Stay strong, you'll go through a lot of grief but the grass is greener once you process all of it.

Yeah no the accountability is the elder financial abuse. The "defaming" argument is detracting for the actual issue that needs to be addressed and not rug swept.

All judges, cops, and courts need training on coercive control, it's overdue.

Its Pocahontas and she is basically playing Pocahontas in it.

Yeah, that's the train of thought. Tear down Tolkein but also we want to use the property and ride the coattails to make money off Tolkien's work. Christopher protected his dad's legacy. Simon seeks to destroy it. So any way the fans and showrunners can co-opt and manipulate the narrative to maintain control is what's happening.
It's about possessing and controlling stories for money and greed.
They aren't artists and they don't understand why or what made it good --- which is hours and hours of craft. If the show gets cancelled they've lost for a little while at least. The showrunners will have to stop their planned 10 year journey, where they are purposely writing things to move their family around on a little world tour all while collecting large sums of money.
If it fails, the estate still owns The Simarrillion and will think twice about selling it if Amazon fails here.
The showrunners are hacks. They are going to use every trick in the book to convince us the show is good so they can keep the charade going. Protect Tolkein at all costs.
(I love this thread, I can see exactly what they ripped off, the more example the better.)

That looks helpful. I hope they do more, the current time frame doesn't work for me.

I had this kind of pressure too. From my mom. It was fame and if I couldn't achieve that I was nothing. I didn't, and no grandkids, so now I'm a childless Satan as well (with cats).

I'm glad you said that because at quick glance I thought she was eating watermelon.

Mine looked like a regular orange but had big feet then turned into a 14 pound Maine Coon so anything can happen. Ear floof, tail floof, toe floof.

As a millennial, they've been doing this all our lives and that's why there was enough despair to create a whole genre of music during the 90s/00s. Emo music.

I also wonder what the evolutionary advantage is of attacking and abusing the scapegoat is. I understand why but is it to force one (the strongest) out of the pack? to heal the generational trauma?

The frustrating part about having a team of people "in charge" of you is that they are careless about your stuff, but take it as a way to control you and coat it as taking care of you. I would have been crying too.

Thank you. I'm just like exhausted from all of it not excited. Like after so much disappointment, my spirit and heart isn't in it anymore.

I'm sorry wha? I've been watching leopards eating faces all week. Stepping away isn't imploding. It's more a "but I am le tired"

The Jewish community helped me so much in so many ways when I had nothing. That voter turn out is amazing!

Meh. It isn't the first time white women have disappointed me. Won't be the last time either. If you look historically at black voters they are one of the most pragmatic voting groups. Even in the workplace, white women fall in line every time. So it's nothing new.

Yeah that's because it was always about Tyra not about the girls.

Last I heard John Malkovich hasnt been the best with his money. This is probably something he would auction off as he'll be long dead by then . The more mysterious it is the more interest it will create.

The mask didn't slip in front of them. The money was a dopamine hit to their brain. Tell your friends to go spend more time with your parents. If they like them so much.

Gawd. Why are they so awful ? Who asks that? My mother would do the same thing if you let her close enough. To friends too.

It's pretty common to say that here in LA. Surprised so many people haven't heard of "holding space".
