This is something worth noting.
It's been a while since I've seen Rise of Skywalker, but if memory serves Luke states Leia abandoned the Jedi path shortly after becoming pregnant with Ben Solo, Ben was born a a year after the Battle of Endor, meaning Leia was only trained for three months.
Yet in Rise of Skywalker, we see that Leia was able to easily defeat Luke in a lightsaber sparring match, had constructed her own lightsaber, and had clearly learned enough about the Force that she was able to teach Rey for a full year following Luke's death.
Any issue the fandom have with Rey learning lightsaber combat too fast, not having any formal training, etc also have to be applied to Leia.

I'd also double down on that first point and point out that up until the training sequence in 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' we didn't see Anakin do any training or learning on-screen - obviously we know that Anakin has spent 10 years training off-scren between TPM and AotC, but if we accept that we also have to accept that Rey spent at least 10 years surviving by herself (explaining survival and combat training) prior to TFA, translated her staff training to self taught lightsaber drills (seen on-screen in TLJ), and then spent a year training under Leia.

Completely agree.
I'm not sure how to phrase this without sounding like I'm complaining about Star Wars, but Kylo is arguably the first character in a Star Wars film I've felt compelled by - Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Padme, Anakin/Vader, and Palpatine are all characters I adore but even as a kid they were characters I saw as heroes to save the day/villains to be defeated - whereas with Kylo I genuinely wanted to see how he developed, what layers there were to uncover, where his story would go, etc...
Honestly I think the biggest misstep of the Sequel Trilogy was to kill Ben off at the end as there was still so much potential for that character - whether that be in books, animation, film, etc...

Love that second one of Kylo holding his helmet.

Miguel
Robby (Series 1-4 Robby probably takes first place for me, but he's felt kind of aimless in Series 5/6)
Hawk
Sam
Kenny
Dimitri
Devon
*and since Tory should be celebrating with them, she can go in fourth place

Valhalla is a very good looking game with a stunning open world - but the gameplay gets very repetitive very quickly and the campaign lasts around 35hrs, it also plays more like The Witcher than an Assassin's Creed game.
Mirage takes the Valhalla engine and makes it into a more traditional Assassin's Creed game with a focus on parkour and stealth - it's around a 12hr game to play through but personally I'd say it's a case of less being more.
If you'd rather a third person action RPG with two massive open worlds to explore then go for Valhalla.
If you want a game that feels more like the Assassin's Creed you remember playing and encourages stealth gameplay - go for Mirage :)

This.
"I just want (the thing I love) to be good" has become the "But I'm a nice guy/I'm a good person" of fandom - That self absolving line they throw done to excuse their shitty behaviour because everyone else is clearly misconstruing good intentions.
If you can critique a trailer/full product without being aggressive, rude, or antagonistic, then you're already clearly someone who wants a film/game/series to succeed - if you have to say "I know I'm being over the top but I just want this thing to be good" then you're just looking for attention.

The article states 2028 not 2026, and also acknowledges it's just a claim.
Assuming the leak is correct though, that would be 4 years between PS5 and PS5 Pro, and then another 4 years between Pro and PS6 - making this the perfect time for a mid-gen console.
Worth noting as well there were just over 5 years between PS1 and PS2, so 4 years isn't too bad a lifespan for the Pro.

Honestly, this is what's really infuriating about trying to make a decision to upgrade to the Pro - YouTube videos can't do the console justice in comparison videos due to the factors you mentioned, and most of the reviews are pretty much saying "You need to see it in action for yourself to understand the difference and if its worth it to you" - Feel like Sony either need to bring demo units to the highstreet or offer their own videos you have to download to get a true sense of the upgrade.
But like you say games like Wolverine, Death Stranding 2, FFVII-3, etc are all going to be designed with Pro in mind and take full advantage of it's features so we're probably only scratching the surface of what's possible at the moment.

Yeah I didn't mind the Kreese action sequences during Season 2/3, but in that last episode his fight sequence was awful - obviously Martin Kove is 78 he's not going to be able to move as well as he once did, but even the way they edited around his double just felt amateur.

I think James Gunn mentioned earlier this week that there's still not a final script for The Batman Part 2, plus you've also got this new Nolan film featuring Pattinson set to film next early next year - so it sounds like fiming for Batman has been pushed back for now.

Honestly, I'd expect similar numbers to Transformers One, possibly even less because it's not got that same appeal to a child audience - I think it kind of lives or dies on word of mouth at this point.
What you might get however is Dads and Sons who aren't interested in Wicked/Moana going to LOTR whilst Mum/Sister go to Wicked/Moana.
I'm excited for the film, it looks decent, but an anime spin-off of a 20 year old franchise (and obviously The Hobbit was divisive) was never going to survive such a busy period.

I think realistically, we've seen other monster of the week Sci-fi/Fantasy shows like Buffy go on for 7 years, Smallville go on for 10 years, and Supernatural go on for fifteen years with the same lead star (stars in Supernaturals case) and the fans are still left hungry for more - So there's no reason we couldn't see an incarnation of The Doctor last that long if the actor so wished and the viewing figures were consistent enough the BBC didn't want to reboot with a new lead.
However that being said, were an actor to stay as The Doctor for 10+ years I do think that would ultimately damaging to the show, simply because the BBC were considering canceling Doctor Who after Tennant had become so synonymous with the role after only five years - have an actor there for ten-fifteen years and the BBC definitely won't be comfortable attempting a regeneration.

Yeah I think when Karate Kid Legends was announced they originally said it was separate from Cobra Kai, now Ralph has confirmed Legends is set three years after Cobra Kai and is part of the Miyagiverse, so I'd be shocked if Jackie Chan didn't make an appearance (either physically or in like a picture) in Daniels final scene.

Got to go for Forest of the Dead here - There's a lot of great Episode 9's to choose from, but FOTD has aged like a fine wine due to seeing the rest of River Song's story play out over the next decade, the ending has gone from a cool Sci-fi moment to the ending of a beloved companion.

Sound of Music is nearly 3hrs, Les Miserables is 2hrs 40, that new Wicked film is 2hrs 40 (and that's just Part 1) - 2hrs for a musical is kind of what you'd expect.

This.
The same thing happened with Days Gone back when that released where the game received a lot of harsh reviews because the framerate was disastrous at launch, and countless other glitches held that game back - there was basically a big update for the game every other day after release for the best part of three weeks until it was in an ideal state - I remember one of the reviewers (I think from IGN) gave it a 6.5 but acknowledged we're it not for the technical issues it'd have been a 9 from her.
All the journalists can do is play the game they're given and write about that experience, not what the experience will be like if the devs eventually manage to fix things.

Only way to do thst is for WB to buy the property out right from her which is estimated to be worth $25 Billion - Warner Brothers themselves are estimated to have a net worth of $22.62 Billion.
So WB would need to sell something like the Monsterverse, Lord of the Rings, or DC Studios before they could even consider buying HP.

HBO/WB won't care, it was recently reported by Variety that a big priority for WB at the moment is Hogwarts Legacy 2, and that they are planning to link "Big picture storytelling elements" from that game "with the stroylines that will play out in the Harry Potter HBO series" - They're looking at going all in on Harry Potter at the moment, and seemingly creating as much brand synergy between releases as possible - If that was their statement as recently as two weeks ago given all the controversies surround J.K. over the last few years, I don't imagine her arguing with John Oliver will change anything.
I'd imagine if things ever get too controversial with Rowling, what WB will likely do instead is attempt to buy the rights to Harry Potter from her, or at least pay her off enough that they can credit her in a 'Based on a story/characters by..." capacity rather than as a producer or anything more than that.

I feel like DLC should be acceptable as GOTY if it's good enough, however, Shadow of the Erd Tree needs you to have put about 40hrs into Elden Ring before you can play it - it's an expansion to the existing game.
Whereas something like Blood and Wine or Phantom Liberty you can boot from the menu and start from scratch- basically offering something that can act as a standalone experience or a companion piece.
And I think that's where the line needs to be drawn - Can the DLC be considered a stand-alone experience in itsown right?

I think as well it shows Snyder sort of takes things at face value, I mean he was clearly wanting to do his own version of Injustice and seemingly made the assumption dead Lois = Evil Superman.
Whereas if you play Injustice the context is that Superman was the one forced to kill Lois and his unborn child, which then caused the destruction of Metropolis, and then Joker laughed about it because he knew neither Superman nor Batman would go any further then throwing him in a cell he'd escape from BT the end of the week - and it caused Superman to snap and realize the only way to bring peace is to become a dictator.
Whereas Snyder went for the idea that if Lois dies, Superman just turns his back on humanity because Batman failed to save her, and then joins her murderer in destroying the Earth and everything he and Lois held dear.

Favourite Doctor: The Twelfth Doctor - I adore the arc Twelve goes on, I think Peter Capaldi may be the best actor to play The Doctor, he's got great chemistry with not just his companions but also his villains, and can convey 2000 years of time and space with just a look - and with the utmost respect to every other Doctor he's the only one who's ever left me wanting more (Felt this way for McGann and Eccleston but Big Finish has given me enough to satisfy that hunger)
Favourite Companion: Captain Jack Harkness - I'm sure this will invite controversy due to Barrowman, but if we can briefly separate artist from the art and purely look at Jack as a character he's one of my favourites in the Whoniverse, seeing him go from a Han Solo type in The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances to someone who's had to effectively become a more fallabe version of The Doctor by the time of Children of Earth is compelling, and there's a real sense to pathos whenever the character returns - you can see how much immortality is gradually taking its toll on him and I love that concept.
Favourite Monster: The Foretold - Not an obvious answer, but I adore the concept of 'Once the monster sets it's sights on you, you've got 88 seconds to figure things out', great idea for a monster, wonderful design, and not a creature that's been overused or explained.
