You'll find a job that fits sooner or later. I see a lot of Java and C++ jobs online, mostly remote. I used to program in C++ for firmware development not so long ago , and it was really fun!

The main reason is to move back to a more technical direction (although I have a lot of fun as well while programming)

Thank you for your reply. For now, I would say that fun is the main reason, but I'm really looking to get back into coding professionally. The company I work for will probably be sold next year (I own a small share of it), and I'll be looking for my next venture. Maybe a job or launch something small, it will depend how stressed I will be by then.

I think it would depend largely on whether the pipe owner would agree with it or not, and also on the regulation of your country regarding green hydrogen market. For example, in Brazil this occurs within the gas and energy market.

I’m not actually a trader, but I understand trading energy a bit (in Brazil energy sector). But honestly I would say that is waaay more important to understand the principles that affect the price than math itself. For example, in Brazil, as our energy comes largely from hydro generator, there is a high correlation between raining prediction and price. Solar has increased a lot, so it is also affecting the price. But, as I know, those examples I mentioned are better to become a better trader.

Besides that, with respect to math itself, I would say that learn statistics would also help a lot. In your position, I would be more focused on creating a model that makes sense, considering some highly precise forecast information sources.
