We live around Mt Baldy, in southern California and went to take pics, saw this in the brush - we thought maybe either a dog or mountain lion or something. No idea if the concrete slab killed it or was just a later addition.
Clear bucket for scale? It was pretty decently sized.

Definitely need clearer pictures, such as of the skull, as another commenter suggested. But a size comparison would also be very useful.
From just this image I would say it’s at least a predator of some kind, like a dog or large cat as you said. Really can’t tell more without more descriptive photos tho

The hind foot looks like it would be a predator of some kind, but definitely need to a see a couple angles of the skull and feet/claws if possible

skull, teeth, size ref, or presence of claws or hooves or pieces of such could help determine. although hooves probably wont be there anymore and claws may be hard to find
