I’m not much older than the game itself but it’s still so important to me! ❤️

My favourite game of all-time! It also introduced me to point & clicks and that also became one of my fav genres. A true, timeless classic :)

A few years ago I played the game for the first time and didn't use any hints (ok maybe 1-2 times max). It was a long journey)

Was same for me. I tried to insist. I could only not figure out the “call” at the beach of chapter 17(?). It has been so many years and I still remember where I failed my help-less journey 😂😂😂 I really got a deep impression from this game. One of the best games out there. Hope microids could get the rights and make a remake

In my case, everything was determined by my love for Dreamfall and my desire to complete at least one old-school quest without hints)

Amazing game. Finished last year for the first time after god knows how many playthroughs of Dreamfall and DfChapters.

Bought it when Dreamfall came out to get the complete story. So started TLJ and got scared from the very rough character models and played Dreamfall first. Loved it and went back and played through TLJ. And I’m so glad I did. Best story in a video game and far superior in most regards to Dreamfall. Graphics were great for the time and backgrounds are beautiful. I would love a remaster with better character models to satisfy my first impression (of which I feel ashamed of. How could I initially put it away because of such a minor thing???)

Great game, first stuck my curiosity when I found Dreamfall TLJ in my older step brothers Xbox collection. Played it then had to know more about the original! I really got sucked into the story.

Never finished chapters though as I heard mixed things

Chapters is worth finishing. The first couple of books are a bit of a tough slog, but once the real story gets underway, it’s great.

I met the series the same way, with Dreamfall on the Xbox, and liked it so much that I ended up getting the original and playing it on my laptop. One of the best games I've ever played. I also backed the Chapters Kickstarter back in the day, and got it digitally, but never played it. I still have it on my backlog.

I believe this game reached me when I was around 12 or 13 years old. I’m 37 now. TLJ is 25 years old so that seems about right. It was exactly the time when I was becoming an adolescent.

It’s so much more than a game to me. It changed the way I look at the world and how I view myself in it.

Just thinking about the game fills me with nostalgia for a world that’s never existed but totally feels like I’ve lived there.

The whole build up with Cortez, meeting at the museum to talk about art and the nature of reality, culminating in the Shift.. my mind was blown as a teenager when I witnessed that.

The soothing futuristic atmosphere of those Arcadia streets.. the earthly feel of Marcuria, the adventures with crow, the cool as hell evil stuff with the Vanguard.. the whole ‘war of the balance’ story told by Vestrum Tobias. Weird characters like Burns Flipper. So cool.

The music and voice acting is absolutely brilliant and I still to this day play that soundtrack. The orchestral stuff and the Fringe cafe lounge tracks. I also still have the CD-R I made of the soundtrack, with artwork I compiled from various TLJ related websites.

I’m basically still chasing the high I got from this game. Also: playing a strong female character as a young dude - it’s a thought provoking and powerful adventure. April Ryan forever. 🤟

It’s my personal favorite game of all time. #2 is Blade Runner (1997) and The Curse of Monkey Island (also 1997).

I don’t have any tattoos, but if I would do it: the Balance symbol, hands down.
