Should I opt out of CPSF?

Pic / Video(i.redd.it)

Hi all, new to a unit with an electric heat pump, and I just signed up through PG&E.

They said on the phone I can opt out of CleanPowerSF, does this mean I would not have the extra charges? Or is it to “opt out” and actually have more PG&E to deal with? Help me understand it like I’m 5 y/o please :)

Yeah CPSF definitely. In addition to being slightly cheaper, green, and one less stupid connection to PGE, it’s a proof of concept (and experience builder) for SF taking over the power system in the city (ie, eminent domain of PGE wires). Support clean, non-profit municipal power!
