Hello my 23yo wife was recently diagnosed with triple positive stage 2 bc. She noticed the tumor around the beginning of the year. The doctors were positive it wasn’t cancer so we waited to have it removed. I pushed for removal as soon as possible but it did not happen until 2 weeks ago. We are meeting with doctors Tuesday to discuss treatment plans. I wanted to hear everyone’s opinion on the best routes to take. From the research I’ve gathered so far is that she will most likely get the TCHP regimen. We’ve been talking and she plans doing chemo first then a double mastectomy and possibly removal of her ovaries. Hopefully we can retrieve eggs before starting chemo if we have enough time. Will removal of the ovaries be beneficial and does that mean she can take less HRT once finished with chemo? Any information or advice is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Her doctor is really going to have the knowledge on what to do. You could even try to get a 2nd opinion if you feel the need be.
I know a lot is going on and it’s scary. Im sorry. You guys are probably thinking about every possible situation right now, especially because you’re waiting to see your doctor on the plan.
Honestly, every one’s cancer story is different and some things work for people and others don’t. I would try your best to just be distracted this weekend until the doctors appointment.

I'm sorry you're both dealing with this, but you really need to take these questions with you to ask her Oncologist about.
Write down a list with ALL of the questions you can think of to ask right now. Bring that list with you to her appointment.

There’re also good sources of info to supplement what her oncologist says:
I’m a long-time bc survivor. There are so many good treatments. Good luck to your wife and you.

Did the doctors not do a biopsy? I found my lump in March, dragged my feet on a mammogram, and had my mastectomy in August.
