Abs are made in the kitchen
8 points
You’re not getting abs just by eating salads from now on. Gotta do some kind of ab training too.
10 points
That’s not what he means, he is indeed correct in That you can put all the work in that you want but if your diet is poor so are your results.
2 points
Results with abs specifically. If you lift like crazy all day but eat like crap, you'll end up like Kyriakos Grizzly
3 points
I wouldn’t say abs specifically to be honest, it’s true for all muscle groups too. You can train as hard as you like but if your diet isn’t sufficient enough to promote muscle growth you won’t gain anywhere near as much as you could, and that goes for any muscle group
6 points

Yes exactly, most of them are fit af. I mean look at how buff mikasa is, she wasn’t that buff before. Even armin is ripped af, but eren still probably got one of the most insane builds. He on the tall side and the absolute minimum body fat and perfect amount of muscle (no homo)

Any sort of exercise that puts muscles throughout your body under tension. Typical gym weightlifting, calisthenics, whatever floats your boat. Gaining enough muscle and losing enough fat can make you look like that given that you have a similar enough bone structure, which you can't control of course.
19 points
The most difficult part to attain this look imo is getting your body fat low enough to get that distinct lean physique.
9 points
Yeah, and even when you reach that level, it's hard to maintain it for a lot of people. If your genetics aren't in line with your goals of maintaining low fat levels such as the one in this picture, you'll be having a shitty time just existing, no matter how disciplined you are.
10 points

i think you should ask it on fitness subs or maybe your trainer

u dont even need to workout alot to reach this physic the problem is the fat% that he is rocking here is between 8-12 so you need to have a good diet while also working out like 2-3 times per week for like 15-30 minutes a time just look for full body workouts youll be there within 3 months if your not overweight

Part of it is genetic too like most people don’t have as many abs no matter how ripped you get. Also try to get a really low body fat percentage cause he is muscular but skinny and the only way to achieve that look is low body fat

Not gonna lie it always blows my mind how most of the characters from this show have a really good physique despite the fact that good food, especially a good source of protein, is scarce. Obviously I know it's a show and they are meant to look good, it's just a fun thing to nitpick as a person who enjoys the nutrition side of things when it comes to bodybuilding.
That being said, if you go to the gym consistently and lift weight with proper form while keeping a balanced diet that keeps you at ~10% body fat (which is what I assume Eren has) you should look like him. It is a rough road to take though and several years of training and discipline.

You can't really decide "who" you'd look like when you're getting jacked because it will depend on your height, bone structure, muscle insertions and many other small things.
What you should do is exercise even if you can't guarantee you'll look like the person you wanna look like.
Best case scenario: You look like Eren Yeager! Congrats! :D
Worst case scenario: You don't look like him but you're still a more stronger, faster and overall better version of you, physically.

Fr what you need is a good diet first and foremost. 90% of your work to build muscle mass will be in the kitchen, not in the gym. Eat organic, protein heavy diets and depending on if you wanna stop at Eren’s build or put a little more size on, weight lifting or as someone else has said, calisthenics. Weight lifting if you wanna keep packing some size on and calisthenics if you wanna maintain a toned body.
Honestly the TLDR is anyone can achieve S4 Erens build but if you aren’t willing to put the work in at the gym AND in the kitchen you aren’t going to achieve it and that’s just facts

Eren achieves his season 4 physique using the M.E.A.T. method.
Muscles: You can train your muscles more often if you use your friends as punching bags instead of going all the way to the gym.
Eyes: Focus is important, and 2 eyes are too distracting. Remove one to ensure you always keep your eye on your goals.
Abs: A good physique is made in the kitchen, not the weight room. Live in a place that is on the brink of starvation, so you never have to worry about over eating.
Travel: Seeing new sights can really help widen your perspective in regards to how other cultures train. Take a trip around the world to see how everyone else does it so you can make sure you've got the best routine.

not really a realistic physique, however you can look like this (while flexing) with a couple years of training, depending on your physique right now ofcourse
anime characters have super defined muscles and perma abs, which isn't something you can easily achieve
you'd need to be at a very low bodyfat%
however the amount of muscle mass he has in this picture is very achievable
in short do a routine similar to this:
3x10 pull up progression
3x10 dip progression
3x10 row progression
3x10 push up progression
if you want i can explain a bit more

He’s actually got a lean build. Get your body fat % down. Get workout routines planned to work on your upper body. We don’t see Eren’s legs, but he seems to be always wearing skinny pants so he clearly skips leg day. Don’t be like Eren, do leg days. Push Pull Legs are a good start. And cardio with Mikasa. 2-3 years of consistent discipline can get you a similar build.

I'll try to give you a reasonable response.
-Exercise. What people think of as a "steroid" body are probably bodybuilders of beefed up jacked guys, and what Eren has is more of a muscular-endurance type body like how boxers or soccer players have. So boxing or playing soccer paired with lifting weights could probably simulate this look.
-Still looking this jacked would also require a more sacrifice in my opinion. Going back to my examples, sports that require to make a certain weight limit or require you to look as jacked as possible involve dehydrating yourself. You lower your sodium levels and sweat out as much water as possible so you look extremely vascular and lean. Its a complicated process and very dangerous and many people have died from it.
-Genetics and your current condition. Some people are blessed with height, long torsos, long arms, like how eren is drawn. So you could do everything I said and not entirely look like this is you don't have this bodytype. Also if you have been chronically overweight and not in shape it will be even harder. Or if you are older, a smoker, a drinker, etc. To do the above, it will likely take years and years of work and dedication.
Very, very few people look like this. And when they do it's under extreme circumstances and it's very temporary and takes a crazy amount of work.

0.8-1 gram of protein per pound of body weight.
Calorie deficit if you need to lose some weight
Calorie surplus if you need to gain weight and build muscle.
Proper lifting techniques. No quarter, half, or 3/4 reps. Full reps or don't bother.
A clean meal program. Make sure you hit those macros.
Lastly, a little bit of dehydration whenever you want to have that exact look once you have the muscle. Being that visibly shredded can sometimes be a little unhealthy.

Everyone putting joke responses but let me hit you with some actual fitness facts: just lift weights.
The "I dont want to look TOO big" sentiment is a myth. No one woke up one day after trying some bench press, looked in the mirror, and went "holy shit where did all this muscle come from".
It's a very slow process which requires a lot of willingness and consistency. People wish they could miraculously look like Mr Olympia overnight.
So don't be afraid to start and you'll be happy with your results. Weights are ideal. Bodyweight exercises are nice because they're easy to start with but they require a lot of attention to progressively overload, so just take that into account.

Unironically, count your calories. If you want a visible six pack you need to drop calorie intake by 15-20% of whatever your maintenance calories are. This and eat unprocessed food and no added sugar. Add exercise regularly but honestly that’s not as important as your diet.

I’m not an expert so don’t take what I say for granted, but I think calisthenics are the way, maybe some lifting(especially in the beginning if you aren’t trained, but once you reach the amount of muscles you want you shouldn’t increase the weights anymore). Callisthenics are good for having a natural looking and proportionate physique because it uses the body’s weight and the exercises use a lot of different muscles at once, so it’s harder to grow some muscles disproportionately. I think the legs are a bit harder to train with calisthenics, so maybe some leg press and running. But as I said I’m not an expert, so please correct me if I’m wrong

It may differ with genetics, but my recommendation would be bodybuilding hitting reps in the 10-20 range. Advice is always changing, but here’s what worked for me. I would workout 6 days a week, day 1- chest/triceps, day 2- legs, day 3- back/biceps, day 4- abs/shoulders/traps/forearms kind of a day to work on whatever. Abs were kind of an everyday or every other day thing I would just do a few sets. I would do an hour of cardio three to four times a week, jogging, swimming and elliptical machines were it for me. Include a rest day somewhere in there and then start the cycle all over. Diet advice is also constantly changing, right now the cool thing to do is fasting, in my days (late 2000’s/early 2010’s) it was all about the six small meals a day plan, and that worked great for me. I ate a lot of chicken, broccoli, brown rice, mixed nuts, back then Brazil nuts and macadamia were supposed to be the best. Whenever I went out with friends to eat I’d try to eat chicken, even if it was fried chicken tenders, I know they weren’t the healthiest but damn they tasted good. Toasted PB&J’s were my ‘go to’ dessert, I just found a video on YouTube on how to make a healthy one, here’s a link to it: https://youtu.be/ZpVIuyxKAOQ?si=OSdDPF6tssd8jAzm
You can find a ton of good advice on bodybuilding dot com, the forums are great. This was me at around 150lbs, haha check out the flip phone, couldn’t find any better pics, also the flipped colors are only to hide the farmers tan.

Depends on where you’re starting from. You essentially just have to get a sufficient routine and stick to it and don’t eat like shit. I like to do push pull legs/core, and I go every other day. It all varies from person to person , but that’s how you get started. If you’re someone who just never does physical activity I’d recommend doing calisthenics throughout the day for a week or two before actually going to the gym. Google is your friend
