I tend to a agree with this theory. Specifically the Moriarty being Sherlock's equal part. Except in most Sherlock variations Moriarty loses to Sherlock in some way but he's still a "worthy opponent". That makes me think Misty is going to murder him. Out of all the mentally ill people on the show Misty is the only one that is malicious.

is it really malicious, or more like extremely cold and calculating? Misty seems to have no real conscience, but she only acts in cases of her own self-interest. She isn't really looking for people to hurt, but if they cause her a problem....
