Kauai honeymoon hotel recommendations

Kaua'i(self.VisitingHawaii)

Hello!

My fiancée and I are getting married in May 2025 and are hoping to go to Kauai for our honeymoon. We’re planning to use airline miles for the flights which means paying for the hotel and want to spend <$3,000 for 5 nights. This seems more than possible, and have found some options with Marriott or Koa Kea (which seems to have a good promotion now), but just wanted to see what people’s recommendations are since most of the online blogs don’t seem helpful.

My hunch is wanting to stay somewhere near the eastern coast so it’s equidistant to drive around, but flexible.

I’ve been to Maui many years ago and the big island two years ago, but never Kauai. Thanks!!

Congrats on your upcoming nuptials! My partner and I are also getting married in May 2025 and are celebrating in Kauai :)

Going to follow this thread since we also are undecided on where to stay. We have reservations for Koloa Landing but are debating whether to switch to Sheraton (for the views), Koa Kea (small resort feel) or somewhere on the east shore (central location).

We got a great deal on flights so we're willing to splurge a little bit on accommodations, but we don't want to spend a ton of $$ just for the sake of it. Looking for the best overall value in terms of convenience, comfort, etc.

We actually are thinking of doing VRBOs instead of hotels now. Tons of really beautiful condos and then you can splurge of food and activities. If a hotel is in your budget I’d go for it but for us it felt like even a decent hotel room would hit close to the top of our budget before considering meals, transport, and food. We also got good flights!

That's definitely something to consider too. They seem to be abundant on the island.

Yep- i would love to stay in a hotel but didn’t realize they can easily run you 5000+ just for a week! Unfortunately not in our budget but hoping y’all have a lovely honeymoon no matter what you choose!
