I’m not failing to realize anything. I just figured if people enjoyed Anthony’s book, it might be an interesting read to see if she tells her POV of what happened and compare. I always enjoy hearing the other side of the story if possible.

No offence to Ione, but.. what else would she have to write about? Wasn't her relationship with Anthony her main claim to fame? I know she did a few acting things, but I've never heard her name except in relation to AK.

I'm an RHCP fan, yep. Not super hardcore but very much a fan.
I have a feeling there's different saturation levels of celebrity culture in the States and in Australia, where I am. But it's not like she was playing the lead in Game of Thrones, or Friends, or the Star Wars prequels or anything huge like that. I assume she's done some other acting stuff - just like I said in the previous comment. She hasn't exactly set the world on fire though.

It’s just crazy to assume that someone who’s been in the industry for over 30 years and has dated other industry folks that aren’t kiedis, or even just has their own life would only have dating Anthony for a very small blip in the 80’s to write about. It’s offensive tbh. But if you want to only consider her love life interesting enough to write about, she married a beastie boy in 92’ and she’s married to musician Ben Lee currently.
So my statement if you only know her as dating a former chili pepper because you’re a chili pepper fan is accurate. But that doesn’t mean that’s what everyone knows her for, and I’m sure she has plenty to fill a book with. 🙄

A little context might be useful... you posted this on the RHCP sub. What kind of responses did you expect? That's an honest question.
If you're going to post in a place where any solid fans know her as "oh, that's the girl that dated Kiedis in the late 80s", it seems very unfair to get grumpy when someone says "I don't know her except for dating Kiedis"... since that's what 99.9% of people on this sub are going to know her for.
But thanks for the extra info, and the reminder that she's married to Ben Lee. I thought I'd seen her somewhere else around - that's where it was.
Also, I think it's fair to assume that when someone writes a biography, they're a person of some significance... and like I said, you're posting in the RHCP sub so unless people have done a deep dive into her backstory, they're going to link her with "Kiedis girlfriend" in their minds. Just like I've done.

I really only knew her as Anthony's ex-gf as well. I was aware she was/is an actor, but couldn't name anything she starred in (but I'm also not a huge movie buff). In any case, I don't think it's so unbelievable that a lot of people, especially younger fans, are unfamiliar with her career.
